Good Morning! Another day, another cleanser to try. I’ve recently rounded up all the cleansers scattered across my house into one bathroom and realised that I have a current stash of 6, some of which – like this one, was still laying untried.
I picked up the nspa Melting Cleansing Gel, a month or so ago on a whim on a walk around Asda having seen it reduced to just £2, I thought it would be a nice thing to try from a brand which I hadn’t delved into, only to find when I got to the till it had been reduced further to a mere 50p!
Firstly, how beautiful is the packaging on this – for me it’s very reminiscent (although yes, a different colour) to the Liz Earle boxes, and did look like quite a classy line to be sat on a supermarket shelf and the tubes inside are just as beautiful as the outer cardboard. High five to whoever designed this, because I really love it.
It many ways this is quite similar to the B. Clean Melting Gel Cleanser which I tried at the end of June, applying as a gel and emulsifying down when water is added into a cleansing milk. If you remember back you’ll know that I thought the B. Cleanser did a terrible job of cleaning my skin (especially removing eye make up) and I was left throughly unimpressed with the product, so I was unsure as to whether I would like or dislike this too.
Containing Grapeseed Oil (which is great for oily skin) and Neroli Oil (good as an antisceptic, so great for cleaning the skin throughly). I rub this all over my face quickly, and massage into the eye area which easily breaks down any eye makeup left behind. Whilst this may sound a little bizarre, when I’ve used in the shower if a little has managed to get into my mouth, this tastes so sweet! A nice side effect if you’re a bit of a clutz like me!
This works really well with my Magnitone sonic cleanser (review on that coming shortly), I normally chop and change between cleansers frequently – but this has left me impressed that I haven’t used anything else for the past few weeks.
Whilst it leaves my face feeling very clean (and there’s not any traces left behind when I follow up with a toner afterwards), it doesn’t leave my face feeling dry – personally I think that is down to the essential oils which nourish and moisturise as well as clean.
I don’t know if this was so cheap because it’s being discontinued, or I just managed to acquire a great, unexpected saving. I do hope however that it’s not being discontinued, and I can pick up another one – I don’t head to ASDA very often, but I’ll be sure to check out more from the nspa range in the future (I do have a face mask review that I also picked up, coming this week).
Have you tried anything from the nspa range?

I love NSPA! I use their body mists daily and their fresh raspberry shower scrub is gorgeous! (Cheeky plug but I reviewed them on my blog). I’m glad you loved the cleanser, I haven’t tried it but I might when I run out of my current one!
Ooh that sounds nice I love raspberry scents! Will check that out when I go back 🙂 – will take a look on your blog for it xx
What a great find and such a good deal! I hope it’s not discontinued!
