Hello if you don’t follow me on social media you’ve probably been wondering where I’ve been. During August I moved my blog hosting, had a break for the month and started posting again at the beginning of September, however there was a big ol problem and wordpress wasn’t picking up on my posts, essentially I was a bug in their system and they had to do some custom work to get me showing up again. So I thought I would do a mini catch up for you and share some posts that you may have missed!
Hitting the Restart Button – Read Here
So this was the biggie of the month, my blog relaunch and details about why I was quiet during August, essentially I quit my job of 4 years as it was making me miserable and I changed jobs to be an eCommerce manager for my parent’s rose business! I’ve had a bit of a strange month – they’ve been on holiday for most of it, and I’ve been making use of the last days of sunshine and summer by taking a lot of new product photos in fields (hey, look there’s one at the top of this post!). It’s been really nice actually and I feel very removed from the stresses of my old job, I visited the office I used to work at after lunch with an old colleague this week and I felt like an alien!
The Cosy Club – Cocktail Making & Tapas
I was treated to visit one of my favourite places to dine, The Cosy Club, to try my hand at cocktail making and enjoy a selection of their tapas dishes.
I took my ex-colleague Sian and we had a lovely night together, this would be really fun to do as hen party, girls night or birthday.
Pixi Glow Collection
I’m sure that you all know by now I’m a massive fan of Pixi and love getting to grips with their products and giving them thorough road tests.
This is the line that’s expanded from the ever popular glow tonic, Glycolic acid based, this was a treat to put to the test and I’ve finished up a few of the products already!
Look out for the post of the vitamin C range in October, I’ve nearly finished trialling everything.
Topshop Makeup is back with a bang
Very.co.uk kindly sent me a parcel of the recently refreshed Topshop Makeup, I had everything to try from base product to the finishing chameleon glosses.
I’ve been really impressed with what I’ve tried in the short amount of time I had it and gave you a run down on what I thought so far and three different looks using the products.
Favourite Podcasts 2019
I posted a Favourite podcasts post when I first started getting into them in 2019, but after many have come and go in that time I’ve found myself having to seek out replacements, and in that time also developing a love of true crime.
I caught you up on what my faves are to listen to now, and also asked for recommendations of what you love are too, as I’m always in the market for something new!
Beauty Pie Haul

Six Products I Love, But Want to Finish Up
I picked out some products from my collection that I’m going to be concentrating on trying to finish up during the autumn and into winter. They’re all products that I love, but have a shelf life, close to the end, of I don’t want to see wasted. So I’m trying my best to finish these up so they’ll be in an empties post soon!
Secret Scent Boxes
And that’s it – I hope you take the time to read and enjoy a couple of the posts you might have missed.
Hope you have a lovely weekend.
