Beauty Pie Haul – September 2019

Beauty Pie Haul – September 2019

It’s been a little while since I last did a Beauty Pie haul and my credits had been adding up and I had a fair bit to spend. There was a few products that tickled my fancy for a while and I had a notification that two of the items that I had been stalking for a while were back in stock, so I added those to my basket, and a few more and was checked out within just a few minutes!

Beauty Pie as a summary for those who do not know is a different take on a monthly subscription – you pay a fee per month which gives you access to shop their products at a discounted rate – the rate that products cost rather than what other high end brands would market as. Once you’ve been through the process it makes a bit more sense, but if you’ve not heard of the subscription before you can find out more here where I ran through it in more detail. I like to let my credit build up and do Beauty Pie hauls in larger order to save on postage and fees.

One thing I will say about the subscription is that sometimes products take ages to come back in stock – my last order was in May, and I tried to buy three different eye creams to compare – I could only buy one and the others have just come back into stock, if you have favourites which you run out of it’s a long time to wait to restock on your staples! Restock on favourites whilst you can!

Wondergloss Lip Oil

First off the only makeup item I picked up – although I suppose this could also be deemed as skincare! I’ve really been liking a more glossy lip at the moment and I don’t have any lip oils in my collection – this is like a hybrid between the two and it has a slight nude tint that adds just the sheerest touch of colour. I’ve had this on a couple of times and it seems really nice and long-wearing, it’s glossy but not sticky – it seems like it might be the perfect product.

Super Moisturising Haircare Set

I was really intrigued about Beauty Pie’s latest edition of haircare to their line. They sell these items separately but it worked out moderately cheaper to pick up the set of three instead of picking each up individually. I usually have massive shampoos and conditioners in my shower, but we’re likely going on holiday at the end of the month so I thought picking up something smaller for our travels would be a great shout. I have very dry ends and my hair is incredibly knotty all the time at the moment – so I thought I would give these a go to see if they could help make my hair more manageable before I have a big chop at the end of the month! I will report in!

QI Energy Eye Cream

One of the eye creams I’d really been intrigued about was this one. This one contains ginger which is for brightening and awakening the eye area. This comes in a little brown glass pot that gives me apothecary vibes and I’m looking forward to giving this a try. My eyes seem to go around suffering from different problems and this one I thought would be great for long days where I might have darker circles creeping in the next day.

Super Retinol Eye Cream

For good measure it felt like I should grab the third and final eye cream from the line – right? I have the Uber Youth one already which I have a review coming up on soon, but I’m going to put these two to the test and do a comparison post between the three, like I have the Beauty Pie cleansers in the past. I’ve never tried a retinol eye cream, so this should be great for pumping up the collagen in the skin and reducing the effect of any fine lines. This one comes in a lightweight plastic pump style bottle – but the packaging is so much more bulky than the slimline glass jars the others come in. Never the less, I’m interested to give it a try.

Brazilian Lime, Fig and Tea Leaves Perfume

The perfumes from Beauty Pie had left me intrigued for a while – I had looked at them on my last order but decided against placing an order. These will eat into a fair bit of your monthly cap at an RRP of £110 each – but at £16 cost they end up at a fairly good steal. They currently have three in their range and I tend to be a big fan of fig scents in the home but I don’t own any fig based perfumes, so I decided to give this one a whirl. I’ve just finished one off as my every day perfume and this one was at a good price point that I don’t need to feel guilty about misting myself liberally with.

I’m not big on perfumes, but that fragrance looks amazing based on the notes! The QI Energy eye cream looks very intriguing, I’ve seen several brands use ginseng in their formulas, very curious if this one works out for you, looking forward to the comparison post! I love how you take your time with skincare reviews, they are always so much more meaningful that way.

Thank you, I hate slapping out skincare reviews – I love trying things for atleast a month and properly dedicating myself to it!

I’ve only tried the jeju cleanser so far, I’ll have to take a look at the other ones!
