The first day of no spend month, kicks off with a haul, go figure, I wanted to get this out of the way nice and early though to feature everything else I have planned!

Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection – Angled Liner Brush
I broke my last real techniques rubber liner brush with some over zealous cleaning, and decided to replace it with one from the bold metals collection. I was planning on maybe using this for my brows, but it’s a little soft for my liking – by that I mean I don’t think it will cope well with powder products as it’s too flexible, but should would well with gel eyeliner
Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge
Had one of these already but it’s got a bit tired, and looks a bit grubby even after a good clean – just time to replace! I’m very intrigued to try the beauty blender as I love this, but as this is 4 times cheaper I’m hesitant, if you’ve tried both let me know your thoughts.
John Freida Go Blonder Shampoo Mini
A mini of these will last me 2-3 months, I just use this on the end of my ombre every 1-2 weeks to keep the colour looking nice. As a reader mentioned, something I also used to do with this before I had blonde in my hair is lighten my hair just with this – using it every time on brown hair just on the ends will give a subtle sunkissed ombre. One thing – never go to bed with wet/damp hair with these, it can bleach the colour out of your sheets it is that powerful!
Seventeen Eye Eye Eyeshadow in Brown
I saw this in a youtube video recently with Nicki Phillippi and Fleur De Force and it sounded great so decided to pick one up whilst I remembered about it. The formulation of this is really nice and buttery, it very much reminds me of urban decay consistency – I’ll check more of these out in future. The shade is lovely too, it reminds me of if MAC’s Patina and Woodwinked had a love child, it sits nicely in the middle – which is great as they are two of my favourite shades.
Superdrug
7th Heaven Blemish Mud Face Mask
Currently having a massive breakout on my chin, decided to get something completely different than my collection to try and counteract it. As I’m writing I’m wearing it, Friday will have a face mask friday post on it!
B.Revealed Glycolic Cleansing Peel & B.Clean Melting Gel Cleanser
I’ve heard good things about this range, and I think my skin has adjusted to the Elemis Gentle Cleanser I’ve been using for a few months as I’ve getting blemishes again. This range was on buy one get one free so I decided to get two different ones to see which works better for me.
Soft and Gentle Visibly Smooth Deodorant
Reviewed in my empties, I decided to pick up the one which is supposed to reduce hair growth again, even though I hadn’t noticed that it did anything – I’d rather that I tried to get one that did that than nothing at all!
Cutex Ultra Cleansing Nail Polish Remover
I didn’t have a drop of nail polish remover in the house, and I was hoping to try out a different brand, but superdrug didn’t have a lot of choice other than this and their own – brand, which I’ve tried and didn’t like before. Atleast this is trustworthy and does the job!
Ebay
Sally Hansen Cuticle Eraser Balm
It wasn’t until I’ve been editing NOTD shots recently that I’ve noticed just how dry around my nail beds had gotten, as well as bad hangnails. I saw this reviewed in a nail care video I was watching on youtube recently and decided to give it a go. I’ve had this about a week and I’ve been using it every other day whilst they get in to shape and it’s working really well so far. Only a few pounds too it’s worth a go if you have troublesome cuticles too.

Oh I have exactly the same issue: I love the RT sponge and would love to try the beautyblender but the price difference is so big. I always hesitate because I feel it can’t be that much better…
Yep – and the opinions on it are always mixed when I look at comparisons some say that they are world’s apart, others say that they can’t tell the difference! x
I know! Pfff, so tricky. I think a big pharmacy near me is finally stocking beauty blenders though, so I might just sneak in and try to feel what it is like. x
I bought the RT rubber liner brush and I can’t find a way to make it work – I find that it drags my gel liner. Do you have any tips?
I also had one of the RT sponges and it fell apart on me only after a handful of times washing it. I read that they may have changed the quality of these and it’s not as good now. Boo…
That B.Revealed skincare looks interesting – please do a review on them!
I shall do, haven’t used either yet – trying to finish of a handful of samples in my shower first before adding more in! I had my RT for the best part of a year, not using everyday but it held up pretty well! As for the rubber liner, I really just treat it like any other brush, using mine with maybelline’s gel and I’ve got along fine laying it as horizontal against the last line as I can get it , other than finding it a bit too flexible at the end to create a nice wing. X
Thanks – I’ll try to lay the brush more horizontal!
