Time for the next part of my empties and this time it’s fragrance and essentials. I guess it’s rare that I’ll actually dislike a fragrance, 90% of what I buy, I’ll buy in person, I’ll have a good sniff in the store, normally on more than one occasion and be pretty sure that I’m going to like something. It’s also rare that I smell most fragrances that come from beauty boxes and think I won’t like them – whilst it might not be something that I’d choose or rebuy for myself, I generally do like them.

Victoria’s Secret Love Me More Rollerball (review link)
I wish I’d bought this perfume in full size in New York and the one I bought as full size as a rollerball as I definitely prefer this one. May consider getting this in future but would have to end up near a VS Store (i.e London) to do so!
Repurchase: Maybe
I am Juicy Couture Rollerball (review link)
I resniffed everything as I was photographing and I still adore this, it’s sweet and girly, and I’m planning on getting another rollerball of this to keep in my handbag.
Repurchase: Probably
Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy
An old favourite of mine and one I’ve had many times in the past. This was from a gift set I got not last year but the year before as a boots star deal and contained a gloss at the other end which I never used.
Repurchase: Maybe
M&S Island Escape
I got this in the M&S Beauty box back in the summer and enjoyed using this. I did like this over summer but it was a pretty light fragrance I felt like I had to use way more than I normally would to actually feel like I smelled of something!
Repurchase: Unlikely
Courreges La Fille De L’air (review link)
This was nice to keep in my handbag over summer and made a nice refresh for on the go. It was a nice fragrance but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get it again in the future.
Repurchase: No
The Body Shop White Musk Libertine
I’d never have tried this if I got it in a beauty box, since then I’ve bought 2 100ml backups, it’s a great everyday perfume and reminds me a lot of the Michael Kors Very Hollywood fragrance which is one of my favourites. Super affordable as it seems to be in the sale a lot!
Repurchase: No need, fully stocked!
Paco Rabanne Olympea (review link)
I bought this as a set at this kind of time last year after getting a sample of it at a bloggers event. This was fabulous and I’m keeping my eye out for a deal on a set over Black Friday/Christmas or in January.
Repurchase: Definitely
Vivienne Westwood Naughty Alice
This is a favourite for me, and one of the fragrances that I’ve repurchased most over the years, I have 4 of the accompanying bracelets that come exclusively with the perfume! I like this it’s so unsual and works really well with my skin chemistry, seems to last all day on me.
Repurchase: Yes
So.. Rio & In Love Body Sprays
I got these at the bloggers ball at the start of summer and they became something that I kept in my car for if I’d realised I’d forgotten to wear perfume or just wanted to spruce myself up. They were a throwback to my youth, I went through so many of these as a teenager!
Repurchase: Maybe, not actively seeking them out at the moment though
Victoria’s Secret Love Addict Body Spray
I’ve had this multiple times, I think this is my favourite VS body spray. This is my first that I’ve finished up from the 3 I bought in New York, so I still have 2 more to go. Sad this one has gone though as it’s definitely been my favourite. Floral and fruity – whilst not being too sweet I’ve worn this a lot both by itself and layered with other perfumes.
Repurchase: Yes
M&S Rosie for Autograph Nuit Parfum
I got this in a beauty box a few months ago and I saved this as the perfume I took to Milan with me. I actually really quite liked this perfume, it was a deep musky floral – probably wouldn’t be something that I would buy though.
Repurchase: Unlikely
Yves Rocher Noix de Coco
I liked this perfume, again this came in beauty box that was totally coconut perfume. I didn’t like it by itself though – it was too much of a pure scent to me, with no other notes other than coconut, I liked using this on summer days with other perfumes, or the Victoria’s Secret Love Addict Spray to feel all tropical.
Repurchase: No
Dolce and Gabbana The One
I was sent this as a replacement product thanks to a duplicate in a . Liked it, didn’t love it – reminded me of the more ‘grown up’ scents like Chanel no 5 – ones I’d happily wear but wouldn’t buy for myself.
Repurchase: No
Miller Harris Etui Noir
I chose this sample recently with a feel unique order on a whim as I’d always wanted to try Miller Harris. This was nice, but not as nice as it would need to be for the price. It had deep floral notes.
Dislikes
Victoria’s Secret Endless Love Body Spray
This is the last of the old style packaging that I’m trying to use up. This was nice, but I wasn’t in love with it. It was light and I used it with other fragrances I wasn’t keen on to mellow them out.
Vivienne Westwood Let It Rock
I featured this in my last product’s I’m trying to use up post and was the main focus for me to finish up fragrance wise over summer. Definitely more of a warm winter perfume, but it’s very strong and I’d say slightly older. I’ve had this for years after hearing Fleur De Force talk about it, it’s one of the few times I’ve bought a fragrance online ‘blind’ and I’ve never really been enamored with it.
Elizabeth Arden Untold Sample
I got this in a glossybox and have never been keen on this scent – I forced myself to use this up by putting it into my handbag. This scent was just too wishy washy for me, floral but it didn’t seem to have many different notes that made it interesting. It was just bleh, which is a shame as the bottle for this perfume is really pretty!
Tierry Mugler Angel Sample
I know I have people cursing me for disliking this, and I do actually like it – but it just doesn’t seem to be a fragrance that works with my skin’s chemistry for some reason. Managed to get 3 days use from this sample and I didn’t like it on me.
Marc Jacobs Daisy Rollerball
This is old as it’s a long time since I had MJ Daisy bought for me – I was in uni so it’s atleast 4 years old, but I think it was more like 6 when I got this. I like this, but I’ve sadly learnt through purchasing 4 MJ fragrances that I’m allergic to them, they make my skin red and blotchy, which is a shame as I really love most of them!
Essentials
Likes
Liked all these, they didn’t break up and they weren’t fluffy. Sainsbury’s Boutique cotton pads (which I did actually review back in the day) are still my favourite ones too, they’re more expensive but last me longer – I go through less of them per makeup/nail removal.
Boots
Colgate Max Fresh Toothpaste
I really like this toothpaste, I’m very fussy about tastes of toothpastes but this one was nice and fresh. Wouldn’t normally include a toothpaste but it ended up in my empties pile so here it is ha.
Dislikes
Lots of cotton wool ovals – I won’t bother list them all, the reason I don’t normally like them because they’re either too fluffy and catch in eyelashes, or they disintegrate and break up.
Oral B Whitening Accelerator
Did absolutely nothing
Doll White
Did nothing
Oral B Max White Toothbrush (Containing Whitening Pen)
Did nothing and Toothbrush looked like I had been using it for about 9 months after a week. Expensive and a waste of time.
Mitchum Ultimate Gel Powder Fresh x 2
I bought this gel version by mistake instead of the cream. it’s a really good deodorant and the gel is cooling and refreshing. What I didn’t like about these is when they’re new the gel seems to ooze out by itself and as you take the cap off product flew everywhere. I had a second one which I took to Milan with me and had to abandon going through security as I had too many liquids.
Mitchum Powder Fresh Spray Mini
I picked this up in the airport as I’d just had to throw away my other Mitchum Ultimate Gel as I had too much to take through hand luggage. I picked this up to tie me over for a few days
Dove Maximum Protection Go Fresh
I liked this but I don’t find this as effective as Mitchum and found I needed more product – I went through this a lot quicker than I would a bottle of Mitchum.
I’m really impressed on how many fragrances I managed to declutter from my collection, I’m planning gon rewarding myself with a new purchase and I’m keeping my eyes peeled this week for some black friday deals on my favourite fragrances. I wouldn’t turn down a new bottle of Olympea as that is a favourite, and I’m also thinking of rebuying Calvin Klein Eternity Moment which I finished up last year and has been a favourite for many many years.

That’s a lot of fragrance empties! It seems to take me forever to finish 1!
Same, most of these were at least part started by April and I’d made an effort
To declutter my collection so I only have ones I really love in there! It’s looking a lot clearer!
So many empty fragrances!! I am currently using two VS mists, Vanilla Lace and Love Spell and they are both amazing scents! I read so many great comments about the Olympea fragrance and I cannot wait to try it! 🙂

I’ve had love spell in the past, that’s the peachy one isn’t it? Olympea is lovely, I need it back in my life again!
Victoria sprays are my favourite, they last so long and they’re so summery.
they last forever! I used his from January and only finished it last week, I used it most days over summer with other perfumes and it still took most of the year!
Yeah I’m on my third bottle and they do last forever x
I love reading empties but cannot imagine I would be able to store all those empties for 7 months:)) Anyway, great reading them, I also like mixing Yves Rocher single scented eau de toilette, but mine was vanilla. I am yet to try the Bodyshop White Musk from my stash (I overindulged in The Bodyshop’s January sales), but seems it’s gonna be great because I saw it mentioned on different blogs a lot.
I know the feeling of overindulging in body shop sales, I’ve got the biggest pile of body scrubs to get through!
Definitely don’t recommend keeping a pile as big as mine I won’t be doing it again, after month three it started to really annoy me ha!
Great post 🙂
Thanks!
JUST HOW did you manage to finish TBS White Musk Libertine already?!! I must not apply enough perfume because I think the last time I finished a perfume was 2 years ago. But I’m THIS close to finishing one. Possibly by end of the year!
You’re not alone in your dislike of Tierry Mugler Angel – I can’t stand that perfume and I can spot it a mile away!
I bathe in it! I usually apply cheaper perfumes (would dream of doing it with tom ford) after I’ve got out of the shower and in my pjs, I also spray scarves and stuff with perfume quite quickly. I think since I’ve been keeping just a couple out instead of all of them it’s kept me focused on using one up at a time!
I wish I could finish my perfume that fast!! Haha it takes forever
most of these were part started, definitely didn’t finish all these top to bottom since June! I don’t enjoy rebuying perfume – too expensive ha!
Oh that makes sense! Haha
I go through perfume so quick to the top I won’t let myself buy expensive ones any more because I think I waste them because I like the smell too much haha! xxx
to the point*
I’m pretty good at keeping my more expensive ones for special occasions or at the very least weekends, in the week I’ll reach for the cheaper ones – I used to keep them all together and near my dressing table now I only have one or two cheaper ones out and the rest are kept away so I’m not tempted!
That’s a good idea! I kept all mine on a shelf. Maybe I’ll treat myself for Christmas and keep it well out of the way
So many of my favourite things in this post, but I love juicy couture 🙂
Thanks for reminding me about naughty Alice! I went through so many bottles of this when I was younger and I also really like cheeky Alice! I’m currently attempting to use up a 100ml bottle of Juicy Couture Couture La La but it’s definitely taking it’s time! I seem to go through perfume so much slower than everyone else! The sample sprays last me a good 5 days minimum lol! These empties are impressive! xx
I liked Cheeky Alice, but not as much as Naughty Alice! They’ve stopped stocking VW in Boots now, I used to always buy it with my points when I had enough! I have a Love, Life Juicy Couture which is just so bleh – it’s so different to all the other JC fragrances, luckily it’s just a 50ml!
xx
I know, I think that’s why I forgot about it as it wasn’t as easily accessible! We do have a VW shop in Nottingham though so I really should just go and pick one up or at least smell it again! I like my JC one, it’s really fresh and fruity but i’m kind of fed up of just seeing it sat there now lol! xx
Well this is happy news, were coming to Notts on the 14th so I may pop in, where is it? x
In the flying horse arcade! Do you know where the old MAC was? (Just up from the square?) It’s on the other side of that road nearer the square 🙂 xx
I’ve walked through there a million times and never spotted it! Awesome thanks, will be trying to pop in if we have time! x
What an awesome post, hun! Very interesting. My two fave perfumes are Euphoria by Calvin Klein and Allure by Chanel. Both absolutely gorgeous scents!
