Another from my ‘little’ holiday haul. Shade 58 From Golden Rose’s Holiday Nail Color collection is a deep purple base, with flecks of gold and purple glitter. In look and texture it reminds be of OPI’s liquid sand formulation. It doesn’t look too textured without a topcoat, but does have a gritty sandpaper feel.
The colour is perfect for this time of year and going into autumn. The subtle glitz gives it a great christmas feel, without it being an ‘obvious’ colour like red – I can see this becoming a staple on my nails into Christmas. This doesn’t feel that unusual, but I don’t have anything like this in my collection, and certainly don’t have anything that’s a glitter rather than a shimmer.
If applied carefully you can get away with only one coat, all the pictures throughout only feature one. It has quite a matte finish, but I wore with a topcoat to even out the textured look and give extra shine and bring the glitter to life.
So far I’m really impressed with the Golden Rose nail varnishes, I really wish we had a store over here somewhere, I would be willing to travel to purchase more!
What’s your favourite autumn winter polishes?
