If you’ve been with me for a while you’ll already know despite my desperate attempts to find a product I love from Soap and Glory I’ve been struggling. Combatting either a general dislike, finding products that are just okay – or allergic reactions I’ve spent 4 years trying to find the product that will make me scream from the rooftops that I’m in love with it. I had a similar battle with Benefit, until we finally found a product that we agreed on last year (Gimme Brow!) and the love that I now have for that has kept me going with trying with Soap and Glory. I will find the product that’s “the one!”.
I decided to puchase a Sugar Crush gift set after Christmas, as for a mere £5, if they were all terrible I couldn’t have gone too wrong. With 4 miniature sized favourites in their Sugar Crush scent (Brown Sugar and Sweet Lime), is by far my fave of their two core scents. The first product that I decided to try was their Body Scrub as I’ve been getting a bit fed up of the one from The Body Shop that I’ve been trying to use up and this looked like a more heavy duty scrub in comparison.
It’s priced at £8 for 300ml, which I actually think is pretty reasonable given the size of the tub and ties it roughly with Body Shop prices – maybe slightly cheaper. Soap and Glory also have regular offers & 3 for 2s so if you’re a S&G lover you can stock up frequently for a lot less than that single product price.
I love the packaging of the scrub, it’s bright and punchy in their trademark pink – with a splash of yellow green. It’s a simple screw topped lid that you’d expect with most scrubs. Inside a thick almost paste like gel is revealed with multi sized scrub particles. I feel a bit like Goldilocks when it comes to scrubs, I’m often complaining about how some are too thin – but this is maybe the opposite and is almost too thick so that when you’re rubbing it across your skin it’s almost hard work.
The different sized particles do make the Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub effective I must say, it has sugar scrub suspended within the gel, along with a medium sized seed textures and then large almost pulpy texture. My skin feels soft and smooth after using, but my only problem with it is because it’s so thick it makes it difficult to spread and it ends up being a larger than normal dollop that needs to go on the skin.
I like the Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub, quite a lot actually – and I think I may be able to call this the first Soap and Glory product I like. I’m really close to running out of this already (I think I might only have only half a use left). However I have a current huge stash of scrubs that are probably going to take me all year to get through them all, it has left me intrigued to try their Breakfast Scrub in future.
Have you tried any Soap and Glory Scrubs?

I need to try this scrub out!
Definitely worth a go! X
I got that scrub for a friend of mine for Christmas and she likes it a lot. I have the Sugar Crush body butter and body lotion and I love those. I use the body butter on colder, drier days (we don’t get many of them in Florida but right now we got some going on) when I need something thicker as my elbows can get really dry sometimes.
One of the other minis I got was the body butter, I don’t really have dry skin (and I’m too lazy to moisturise most of the time!) but one day I’ll give it a go! X
I really didn’t like this scrub. I prefer smaller scrub particles, and the scent was just too overwhelmingly sweet too. And the texture was a bit too thick as well for me personally. X
It is a really thick scrub! I can definitely see how you’d find it too sweet – it’s almost on the verge of it for me too!
I’m so lazy with body scrubs but this one looks amazing. I swear I have a stash of scrubs that I am too lazy to use ๐ Love your pictures and this looks amazing though <3 !
I love this stuff and the body butter to go with it. Especially for the warmer summer months! X
Have got a little pot of body butter but yet to try it yet!
I love this scrub!! great write up xx
Thank you! x
This scent is just everything and more! Great review xx
Thank you! x
This looks great! I love sugar scrubs! ๐
This looks good! I tend to prefer salt scrubs but sugar ones are more common and also don’t sting if you have a scrape. ๐
BeneFit and Soap & Glory have such cute packaging – it does make you want to find SOMETHING you like, hahaha. I’ve yet to try S&G (never seems to go on sale here) and I still haven’t found a BeneFit product I enjoy.
Only Benefit product I love is Gimme Brow!
I agree, I feel like the Balm fulfills my cute packaging needs where S&G and Benefit normally fail! x
I love the smell of the scrubs and they are good, but lately they seem to break my skin out. I get red bumps etc on my legs after๐ Gonna try again see if it was just a phase x
That’s the problem I had with the Shower Jelly!
I’m okay with them but suddenly seem to not be okay with the scrubs๐ x
I really like this scrub, too! I think it’s the perfect amount of grittiness, and the scent is lovely.
I do love this scrub,it’s my favourite of the soap and glory ones I’ve tried but that’s also a lot to do with the scent. I find it works really well with scrubby gloves and the thickness is less of a problems then too. The scrub of your life is good too and not as thick but the scent is a lot stronger and not my favourite of their range.
My skin isn’t very dry or flaky so I tend not too need anything too heavy duty (scrub gloves and scrub would probably destroy my skin!). I’ll have to take a peek at the Scrub of your life one, maybe that might be better for my skin type x
This looks great! I received a tub of a body butter in the Sugar Crush scent – it smells really good. I’ve been on a body scrub kick lately – I have to keep this one in mind.
This is definitely one of my favourite scrubs! Smells incredible too! <3 xx
