Are you fed up of seeing dry shampoo reviews? It seems like I’ve inadvertently made it my mission in life to try and review them all! This time it’s the label.m dry shampoo, which I spotted hidden and tucked away on the bottom shelf of the extra discounted clearance in tk maxx (full haul here).
Label.m seems to be a line relatively unknown to most, but is a salon sister brand to Toni and guy. My hairdressers are a label.m salon, so whilst I’m more familiar than most, I haven’t tried a vast array of their products. I’ve previously reviewed the label.m hair dryer which is still by number 1 hair BFF, so seeing the dry shampoo for a £4 meant I just had to try.
Firstly the scent of this is nothing out of the ordinary, if you can imagine original batiste it’s a slightly toned down version of that, nothing offensive, but I was secretly hoping it would smell like their age therapy oil (aka the best smelling hair product ever/hair crack in a bottle).
This is a powdery texture again similar to batiste, but it feels so much finer, it leaves a slight white cast on the hair which is easily removed when working through. A little (I do mean a little) rubbing helps soak up any signs of oil, before a brush through removes the cast and basically any signs of the product. There is also a brunette version of this, but as quite a dark brunette this more than satisfies me when brushed out.
My hair is left feeling like no dry shampoo has been used, and looks clean and grease free too. So what’s the catch? Well the price, being a salon brand this is of course more expensive at around £9.50 per bottle normally – I’ve been through 5 cans (2 large, 3 travel) since January, which when buying salon size means it becomes quite pricey compared to other favourites such as colab and even Aussie. But I do seem to need less product and the can seems to be lasting longer.
I do like this, but can’t make up my mind if I like it more or less than my usual favourite Aussie miracle, I need to fully finish the can before deciding if I’ll be repurchasing, but I would 100% repurchase if I saw this lying discounted in tk maxx shelves again.
Have you tried any label.m products?
