Stash Stocktake: Mascara Collection

I had no many stash stocktakes planned, but with grey weather almost every evening in England lately (we’re having a pitiful summer so far), photographing everything correctly is proving difficult! Mascaras are at least one area which the colour etc doesn’t matter too much on, if everything.

I am blessed with an already naturally long curled lash, so whilst yes, I do like a little bit of length adding, I’m more drawn to volumising mascaras. The majority of these fall into that category. Also I think you either tend to like bristle of rubber brushes, personally I haven’t found a rubber brushed mascara that I’ve ever loved! In February/March time I got my mascara collection down to just 2, but before I knew it, it was growing again through beauty boxes!

Lord & Berry Scuba Extreme (Waterproof)

Yet to try this out!

Mirenesse iCurl Mascara

Have tried this a few times and think it’s “Okay” waiting a few more weeks to get air into into to see how it performs after a few uses. Review pending!

My Little Beauty Soin et Volume Mascara

I’ve not actually reviewed this properly despite talking about it a lot. Because it’s not actually available to purchase, anywhere but France (i think), I’ve kind of held off without showing you a product you like as much as me, only to find out you can’t buy it.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

Love this, this will be in this month’s empties as i’ve had to admit it’s empty! Full review on this here: Better than sex mascara review

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara

Picked up this sample sized as part of a magazine. Just don’t love it enough, doesn’t add enough volume for me. Did a full review of this here: Benefit Roller Lash Mascara Review

Makeup Gallery Volumising Mascara

Makeup Gallery is Poundland’s makeup range, A review of this will be coming in the next few days, hopefully.

Lancome Hypnose Drama

This used to be my all time number 1, I’ve used tubes and tubes of this stuff! I still love it – however it is £4-5 more expensive than my other favourites, and I don’t see any real difference between them to justify the extra.

My top 3 are Too Faced Better Than Sex, My Little Beauty Volume et Soin & Lancome Hypnose Drama. All 3 are very similar in the look they create, all lasting well with no flaking, whilst none are  waterproof, these don’t smudge and when I have the odd tear or cry, I’m not left looking like a heavy metal panda. I know a lot of people begrudge paying a lot for mascara and these are all on the pricier side too, but personally it’s the one thing I won’t leave the house without, and it’s the one thing I always get compliments and questions of “what mascara do you use”, so for me it’s an item worth splashing the cash on.

What are your mascara favourites?

I love stash posts too but yes, they’re a lot of work and if you depend on lighting, it’s very difficult to plan!
You’re so blessed to have such full long lashes! I have lash envy.
I still love my CoverGirl LashBlast Volume!

We don’t get cover girl – some of it is repackaged here as max factor which is targeted at 30-40 something’s which therefore means they hike the price up, I begrudge paying double for the same thing! When I hopefully go skiing in Canada over winter I will be Doing a lot of shopping!

I’ve been using the Bourjour Volume 1 Second mascara lately and it’s SO GOOD! I wouldn’t have bought it because it’s rubber not bristles but it’s amazing x
