Love Me Beauty Box Unboxing – October 2015

This beauty unboxing has come very late in the month for me this month. My credits refreshed whilst on holiday and when I came back I wasn’t enamoured about the choices in this month’s boutique. After emailing and tweeting to ask if I saved my credits until next month – would that be possible or would I lose them… and I got bored of waiting as I didn’t ever get a reply (still 2 weeks later waiting for a reply) I eventually picked the best of what was there and rolled with it.

For those who aren’t aware how Love Me Beauty Works, you get 60 Credits to spend each month, products are normally 10 or 20 credits and you can choose to spend them how you like. There’s normally a fairly good mix of makeup, hair and skincare items, although this month was mainly dedicated to just makeup.

Cailyn Gelux Eyebrow in Oak (20 Credits)

There were a few different shades of these Gelux eyebrow shades and wasn’t 100% sure whether I was picking the right shade or not. I’ve never tried a gel eyebrow product and have been contemplating whether to try the Anastasia one. I decided to try one out for free . A deep cool brown I’m not sure if this will match my brow shade or not. I’ve had a eyeliner from Cailyn before which had the same style of brush which just smeared the product everywhere, so I’m hoping this one does a better job of applying!

Cailyn Shadow Pencil in Midnight (20 Credits)

Eyeshadow pencils are my new favourite makeup items and I’ve been building my collection over the past few months. I’ve yet to add a black shade to my collection, hopefully this will be an easy way to do a grungy smokey eye, it’s an off black with a subtle silver sparkle running through it.

Cailyn 7 in 1 Dual 4D Fibre mascara (20 Credits)

I don’t know what possessed me to get this. I have so  many mascaras at the moment, I really don’t know what to do with them all! This is one of those fibre mascaras which are really popular at the moment and I’ve seen just about everywhere, personally whilst I’ve tried a few I’ve never got one with them – I was expecting this to be sided one with mascara and one with the fibre things you normally add between coats, this isn’t that at all with one larger end for your top lashes and one for your bottom lashes. I’m looking forward to trying this out and seeing how good it looks.

For me the choices felt limited this month. half of the boutique felt like last months left overs, whilst what was new was mainly made up of one brand ‘Cailyn’ which my previous 2 encounters with hadn’t been massively positive but decided to take a gamble on – hopefully it will pay off. Bellapierre pigment eyeshadows (I own one from a previous LMB box, but still yet to try), a load of Lord and Berry Lipsticks which I’ve never had a good experience with the brand, and mini Ciate polishes – another brand which I just don’t like.

I’ve not been happy for the past few months, I’m going to see what next months choices are and give the box one last chance. If I’m still not impressed I’ll be unsubbing and just having a quick peek each month to see if there’s anything that wows me.

If you want to check out my past reviews click here. If you would like to subscribe please use my referral code of ‘4AI3UB‘ at the checkout, it will give you extra credits in your first box.

What do you think of this months box?

This sounds pretty interesting! I love subscription boxes but never tried I’ve where you can choose what you like. How much do you pay for it?

I got it on an introductory offer which I think is £8.95 including delivery. I think it’s now 12.95 – you used to be able to sign up and see what’s in the ’boutique’ (where you select the items) without committing to paying/subbing 🙂
