We all know by now that I am a massive fan of Pixi, it’s really for the most part been the only skincare line that I’ve used over the past year or so since I became lucky to get onto their PR list, I’ve been kept topped up with skincare treats from all the lines launching (in fact, I just put up a review vitamin C line). But I spotted on ASOS earlier in the week that they had a new collaboration beauty box out, and as I’ve talked about Pixi so much I decided to pick a couple up, some as gifts for Christmas, as well as a giveaway for you, the people who have been reading my Pixi reviews.
The box this comes in is branded which makes a nice change from the white box that the boxes usually come in. ASOS did something similar with Bobbi Brown around this time last year and it reminds me of that collaboration. With a mix of both their skincare and makeup items, and contains some of their most popular items, I think it might have been nice to see something a bit more unusual from them or something new included alongside this – die hard Pixi fans like me will likely have tried everything here and something new to pique my interest may have meant I bought an extra one for myself!
First up is a full size Pixi Rose Tonic – worth £18 in itself, I think this was a really wise decision including this in the box, the tonics are what Pixi is most known for and the Rose Tonic is suitable for all skin types, it’s a nice gentle, moisturising formula and is my go to inbetween using the iconic glow tonic. Speaking of the Glow Tonic, there’s a little mini size of this – personally I don’t think 15ml is enough to really see if you like the product, but if you know that you do already this is a perfect size for long weekends away and can be topped up with a full size bottle!
Lastly in the skincare realm is the Rose Flash Balm, a full size of this is 45ml and this is a 15ml tube – so a third of the size making it be worth around £8.60, however i’ve been using mine a few times a week since the start of the year and I’ve probably still got around a third left! The flash balm is a dual purpose product that is a moisturiser which I tend to use as a moisturising mask overnight, but it can be used in the day if you’re wanting clear but balmy dewy skin. It’s not very strong on the rose scent either if you’re not normally a fan!
Onto the two makeup items – first off is the Silky Eye Pencil in Noir, I don’t use eyeliners much in my makeup routine at the moment, but when I do, it’s normally this one. Dark creamy gel liner with fab pigmentation that stays in place really well. My one little niggle is that this gets put in boxes a lot, probably because they are cheap to provide, but I’ve had about 4 of these from various boxes across the years, and I’ve still not finished the first! Lastly is the Pixi Lip Lift in the colour Sheer Rose, these are a semi-opaque gloss with a slight plumping effect, they are easy and comfortable to wear, this colour is a perfect every day shade which would compliment all skin tones.

Annoyingly when I first wrote up this post last week the ASOS Pixi Box was still in stock – however my camera broke and in waiting for a new one to arrive it went to being out of stock. It’s worth maybe keeping your eye on the page to see if any returns come back in but I can’t imagine they will make any more fresh. If it comes back in *crosses fingers* – You can find it here for £15. ASOS ships internationally and this box seems to ship to the majority of countries from a scan of the list. If not, good luck with the giveaway!
