A few years ago I became obsessed with finding the perfect yellow polish. I bought a cheap one from 17, which turned out to be rubbish, and then proceeded to try several more by other cheaper brands, which were also still rubbish. I decided to splash the cash and buy Nails Inc’s Carnaby Street.

I wish this was a rave review – but unfortunately there’s little to say. Carnaby Street is a pure canary yellow, beautiful in the bottle. First coat applies very streaky and sheer. The second coat evens it out a little more but it still needs a thin third coat to even up a few areas. It’s very shiny without the need for a topcoat. Within a day it chipped, it only lasted a day better when I did apply a topcoat. So for the steep price of £11 that nails inc costs, I was left very disappointed. This polish only now get’s pulled out when I need a yellow for nail art purposes, which the cheap 17 one could really do for this purpose and is a bit of a waste!
So I still haven’t found the perfect yellow, can you recommend one?
