It’s been no secret that in 2017 it’s been my discovery of ColourPop, leading to a borderline obsession with the brand brewing. This summer they launched their first pre-made 12 colour palette and after being a bit disappointed by the shades in the Urban Decay Heat palette being a bit too samey, the ColourPop Yes Please palette looked like everything I wanted to see with a mixture of orange, yellow and gold toned shades being the type of heat that I was hoping to see from Urban Decay.
The fact I couldn’t think of anything similar to this, and ColourPop’s almost unbeatable price-point (especially when we’re taking into account price-point/quality), meant that this was simply a must have for me. Sophie and I decided we wanted to get it and missed out at it’s first flash sale having to wait for it’s restock (which was supposed to be in June, then they moved it to July, ultimately causing my first failure for No Buy July). I finally got this off Sophie in the middle of August and after a really busy few weeks I finally had chance to photograph it, so I could start using it.
The first thing that struck me about the palette was it’s size, it’s a lot smaller than I thought it was going to be, but it does make it a nice palette for travelling with a wide selection of shades. It definitely holds in the hand smaller than you’d expect a palette with that many shades to hold. The packaging is simple and fuss free, the one thing I don’t like about this palette is whilst it’s called the Yes, Please palette only the outer packaging says that – the inner packaging says CUTE AF (euch, hate that term), and the packaging is a bit dull in comparison. It’s like they had two different names for this palette and couldn’t make up their mind, personally I think this range of colours wouldn’t be described as Cute AF by most and they should have stuck with one slogan. I’m not one to keep my outer cardboard packaging normally but I like it better than the actual palette so for now it’s to stay housed in that in my drawer.
I read an article somewhere when this first launched that this had twelve full size shadows into that and the dinky size of this palette immediately made me question that fact as unless the pans were deeper, they definitely weren’t as big as their usual pressed shadows. These are 0.85g each, their usual pressed pans are 1.5g each – so over half a pan, but no where near to being full size either. If you’re wondering of how this stacks up value wise, the pressed pigments and shadows are $5 each at full price (often there’s some kind of deal on) which equates to $2.66 per gram, this palette retails at $16 with a total product weight of 10.2g, this works out at $1.56 per gram. Most of these shades are unique to this palette and aren’t available individually, but there are a few which are (listed).
Full Zip (Permanent)
Pale creamy beige shade, matte finish, very buttery and blends out well
Big Cocktails (Limited Edition)
Bright warm orange/peach shade, matte finish, very creamy and quite loose so suffers with a bit of loosening in the pan.
Champs (Limited Edition)
Bright mid toned peach, matte finish, very soft and creamy and blends really well.
Bling (Limited Edition)
A red toned copper shade, metallic finish, intense pigmentation, blends incredibly well. Gorgeous shade for autumn.
Louie (Limited Edition)
In the pan, Louie doesn’t look hugely different to Bling, however swatches it’s a pink toned peach with a golden shimmer. Again this has very intense pigmentation.
Butter Cake (Limited Edition)
Warm golden yellow shade, very metallic finish but quite monotone compared to Bling and Louie. A little more powdery than the others, but still very blendable and no fall out.
Spoiled (Limited Edition)
Opaque warm red with a orange undertone, very creamy and matte finish.
GNO (Limited Edition)
A bright firey orange which applies more like a warm lovely terracotta, this looks matte in the pan, but has a soft subtle satin finish,
Mischief (Limited Edition)
Bright matte butter yellow shade, like just about every matte yellow I’ve ever tried this is kinda sheer and needs some building to get it opaque
Note to Self (Permanent)
Warm tan brown, good for the crease for an intense look, or outer corner for something softer. Very slight satin finish, but mostly matte. Very velvety texture and highly pigmented.
Chauffeur (Limited Edition)
Bright shimmery shade that sits somewhere between a yellow and an orange that’s very rich in tone, with very subtle gold flecks. It’s utterly unique in my collection.
French Kiss (Limited Edition)
Rich warm matte shade that’s perfect for the outer corner, rich in pigmentation and blends beautifully.
Eye Look Using Yes, Please!
I used a mixture of Full Zip & Note To Self all over the crease, then mixing Note to Self and French Kiss on the outer corner. I used Butter Cake on the lid from the inner corner to the middle and then Chauffeur on the middle towards the outer corner, then blended Chauffeur and Butter Cake together where they met in the middle. On the lower lash line I ran French Kiss from the outer third towards the middle, Butter Cake on the inner corner towards French Kiss, then patted a little bit of Chauffeur in the middle where they met. Finished with Illamasqua Precision Ink Liner and Rosie for Autograph Dream Big Lashes.
One of the things I like about this palette is that it doesn’t feel too structured in terms of it’s organisation, I find that always tend to allow me more creative freedom when I look at the palette, rather than sticking to a particular pre laid out look, however when you swatch the rows along side each other each row of shades really works well together!
All the shades in this palette are very buttery, blendable and with the exception of Mischief are all intense on the pigmentation front. There’s a little bit of fall out when first applied, however there’s no fall out through the day, they’re pigmented and long lasting on the lids. I think the cost of this palette is staggering, these equate to $1.33 a shade which is virtually unbeatable. If you’ve been thinking about picking this up do it, if you love warm tones, get it. I’m tempted to pick up the Fem Rosa palette from Colourpop too, although I’ve heard it’s not quite as good as this one, I’m that in love with it for the quality I think it’s worth it. It’s worth noting if you’re in the UK that ordering this palette alone will cost you customs as the palette is over $15, even though it’s only by $1 – you’ll get the base customs fee of £8 + the import tax, so it’s likely you’ll be paying around the £25-28 mark for this once you’ve actually got your hands on it, so it’s worth doing as part of a larger colour pop order if you have your eye on more than one item as that base fee is a real stinger, orders over $50 have free delivery costs so I’m now always more inclined to either split the order with a friend (although Sophie, my fellow Colourpop obsessive has just moved to the Bahamas so she’s off the list as a bad influence/guilty party for split orders) or do a bigger order and grab everything I want in one go.
Have you tried ColourPop Yes, Please! Palette or the pressed shadows from CP yet?

I want this palette so bad!
*whispers* get it!
I love the look you created! So beautiful 🙂
This was out of my stock when I did my last order and I’m waiting to see what customs charge I get hit with before I put another order in! x
Yes definitely – it’s worth placing a bigger order than lots of little ones (or at least little ones over $15) so you miss the £8 base charge!
These colours look so nice!! ❤
Perfect for summer and Autumn! x
These are really nice
Aren’t they?! Love it, so glad I bought it!
Posts like this make me poor! I need this in my life! Those colours look beautiful 😍
Hahah, I’m sorry – it is budget friendly though! xx
This looks like such a nice array of warm bright colours. I don’t like the term ‘AF’ either, I don’t use it and it’s cringey. These shadows probably suit darker skin toners more than paler? Bright yellow would make me look ill haha 😛 Still a pretty palette though x
Totally agree, not necessary to put it on a makeup palette, maybe I’m getting old!
Maybe, the bright shimmery yellow comes out a lot more golden on the eye – but I think especially against pink tone skin tones it might be a bit of a odd contrast!
This is such a stunning palette I definitely want to get my hands on this.

It’s definitely worth it Candice!
Ooh such unusual colours. I adore the makeup look you created! X
Thank you Danni!
These look so pretty! I’ve never tried ColourPop, can’t wait for them to launch at Sephora
Thank god we don’t have Sephora here, I’d end up with everything within a month haha!
Haha! Anytime I’m in a 10 mile radius I end up spending $50
I am waiting for mine to arrive and I am so excited! Great post
Ahh I don’t think you’ll be disappointed, it’s glorious!
I think this palette is a great alternative to the UD Naked Heat palette! The reds and oranges are especially stunning.
And what? Sophie moved to the Bahamas?!
Yes she moved on Thursday! Her partner got a job (works for an international school) and isn’t back for two years 🙁
I agree it has more variety and “heat” than the UD!
I’m sure i can still be a bad colourpop influence from 4290 miles away 😉 love that eye look you suit every bold eye colour going! Xox
Oh I’m sure you will be, I’ll just have to suffer the custom consequences of shopping alone 😂
Wow those colours look beautiful 😍 definitely going to have to invest in the palette! X
Luckily it’s not expensive 🙌🏽
This palette looks amazing 😉
It’s gorgeous, used it every day for two weeks now!
Omg. So cute packaging and palette. The colors are amazing 😍😍😍
They’re such gorgeous colours! Love it been reaching it every day for two weeks now!
Really cute palette✔️✔️
I see yellow shades, I get immediately attracted to them! They all look stunning and your make up is bomb as well!
My palette arrived a few days ago and it’s so funny that everyone is a little shocked by how small the palette actually is! I can’t wait to get stuck into the palette soon.
Wooooow what a gorgeous palette! Though I wouldn’t use the yellows I don’t think! I have the Fem Rosa one and I LOVE IT
I’m debating that one, I don’t think it’s quite as pink as I want it to be, but think I’ll end up caving and getting it! To be honest there’s two yellows in this palette the rest are peach, oranges neutrals and golds – i think it’s quite easy to get distracted by those two yellows but it’s actually pretty wearable if you like oranges and peaches!
This palette looks amazing, can’t wait to purchase it! xx
I need to get my hands on this palette immediately, it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for! And I love the looks you created using the shadows, gorgeous!
I have been wanting this palette like so bad! Whenever, i tend to order its again stock out. 💔
P.S. the look you created is amazing girl.
This palette is sooooo pretty!
Yay for all that vibrance.
I love that eye look that you’ve done! My Yes Please palette is on its way and i’m so excited to play with it! I only discovered Colourpop this year too and I don’t blame you for being obsessed because I am too haha
Very pretty eye look! Mischief and Chauffeur are both calling to me!
