When Petshop.co.uk got in touch and offered to send the dogs some food and treats of course they said yes (I had to ask them of course, but I should have known the answer, they never say no to treats). I let them know the type of food that they eat and they kindly sent out a little bundle of goodies for them to try.
Petshop.co.uk is a British Start up online pet supplies store. They offer a range of food, treats and toys for dogs, as well as covering cat, fish, birds and other domestic pets. If you’ve got a house which resembles more of a petting zoo (which my house did growing up), with lots of different animals under one roof – this is a website worth checking out as a one stop shop to replenish your pets food. One of the really good things about the site is that you can subscribe to their Bottomless Bowl service, choosing how often you want the food to arrive, which gives you free delivery – and you never have to worry about running out of food again.
The first thing I was really happy for them to see was the Dentalife Dog Treats – we’ve struggled for years to find some treats that Dexter would eat that were also good for oral health. We tried Dentalife, which is new over the past few months and finally our prayers have been answered with it, these aren’t the menthol flavoured treats that our dogs normally turn their nose up, bury in the garden as far away as possible so they don’t have to eat them. When given Dentalife they run to opposite corners of the house or garden and gobble up their stick in peace, so they’ll be very excited to be given these sometime soon.
Next up they sent over a pack of Catch Dog Treats, a brand I hadn’t heard of before, these natural dog treats, are made from freshly caught fish from the Atlantic – they’re also grain free. I’m sure the dogs are going to love these, I always tend to avoid fishy treats as it gives them terrible breath (and after fish they always like to thank us by sitting as close to your head as they can physically get), but these don’t actually smell too strong. We received the Salmon and Cornish Sprat flavours, and these biscuitty treats are already going down a storm with the two of them.
Last up was a bag of dog biscuits, I said when I sent over information about their diet that we try to keep their diets grain free, as Dexter especially is very effected by grain and makes him quite hyper (it’s like E numbers for dogs). They sent over some Huntland British Turkey, with Garden Vegetables and Cranberry, which like the treats is a grain free dog food. I was a bit nervous about this as again, the dogs Dexter can be very fussy when it comes to biscuits but I need not have worried, the dogs have happily been gobbling this down. I’ve actually taken this bag to my Mum and Dad’s house where we stay quite frequently with them, as usually they’re too busy exploring their garden (trying to sniff out their cats), to care about eating. They seem to love this food, so hopefully this will entice them to not skip a meal whilst there
– it’s worked once over the weekend, so fingers crossed it will again. This is available on their Bottomless Bowl repeat subscription dog food service.
I think we may be signing up to the bottomless bowl service in future, I’m fed up of running out of food for the two of them and having to make a mad dash to the supermarket to pick up a terrible alternative of food for them until we can go and pick up their regular food at the weekend when the shop is open. The delivery was really quick from them, expecting delivery on Monday, it arrived the Friday before I was expecting it to.
What do your dogs like to gobble down on?

JJ loved a denta stick! I do want to find a slightly better one for him as we currently just do the pedigree ones so might have to try these! We spend a fortune in all his meat and biscuits so we may as well up the quality of the sticks as he does have one daily. He also really likes bonio biscuits but you end up with powder from him crunching them everywhere. Good review from Dexter & Charlie! Xxx therosebeautyfiles.com
We try to stay away from everything pedigree! They do different sizes of the sticks for different weight dogs so they only get what they need from a stick! Xx
We do normally but he loves those stick and the cheese nibble treats 😂
Cheese nibbles are some kind of dog crack they only have them at my mum and dads!
Mine is a beagle and nearly a month old now 🙂 he will eat anything that comes his way! lol
Haha our beagle is uncharacteristically not as gluttonous as Beagles are meant to be!
I bet your doggies were very excited to get a bundle of treats! We have four cats at the moment, so I’m currently not allowed a dog, but my time will come!!!
Thanks you for the tip!! I will have to look into this 🙂
Sounds like great treats for dogs

Malc would literally eat anything we give him but his belly says otherwise. We currently use tails food which is made especially for him and they give you a special scoop and free postage etc. Very intrigued by the fish treats though as bulldogs get bad skin and the nutrients from the fish might help! I’ll take a look. Great post from C&D 🐶 xxx
We have had tails in the past and they really liked it, with two though it just seemed like it was going to be an expensive food to keep them on. Our usual stuff is 20 quid a bag, has no bad stuff in it and lasts 5-6 weeks!
