Wow have we really made it to over 30 in this series? This week I’m probably going to be a little quieter on here – I felt a little burnt out over the weekend and didn’t fancy ploughing my all into blogging over the weekend and I don’t think I’ve got much, if anything prepped and in my backup that I’m ready to post on yet, so I’ll start working on new things for the week ahead. I did however notice how much my empties pile was piling up and wanted to make sure I’d at least decluttered it a little, so here’s ten products I’ve finished up recently!
Makeup
Anastasia Beverly Hills Fawn Contour Powder Pan | Gifted by Beauty Bay
Only two items in the past few weeks that have been finished up. First, I was so glad to see the back of this, not that it was a bad product, as it definitely wasn’t and I enjoyed using it, but this has taken me almost a whole year to finish. It’s a very heavily pressed contour powder so that it lasted forever. These have now been discontinued which is a shame as the formula was really nice – but I’m now onto my Urban Decay contour palette which I’ve been itching to use properly since I committed to using this up!
Repurchase? Discontinued!
NYX Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Loose Powder
I was planning on reviewing this but I’ve not ended up with having much to say about it, it’s an okay powder which performs okay – they don’t do a translucent powder in this formula which is a shame as it would put me off from using it again as this colour was slightly off and left a bit of a cast. The thing that let it down most though was the packaging, it was infuriating at times as the powder was stuck and I could see loads left inside, I managed eventually to get the heavy plastic sifter out.
Repurchase? Maybe, it would have to be on offer.
Skincare
Pixi Rose Ceramide Moisturiser | Gifted by Pixi | Review
Only reviewed this last week so I shall not dwell too much. I loved this and have used it as my night cream for the past few months, not heavy feeling whilst offering great results. Would recommend and rebuy in the future.
Repurchase? Yes, but I have enough moisturisers in my cupboard at the moment to keep me going!
Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar Eye Cream
A friend gave me a little bundle of products at Christmas this was in the little package she made up. I’ve never tried Philosophy skincare before and I don’t plan to after this – I thought it was awful didn’t make the blindest bit of difference or even make my eyes feel moisturised. Avoid, not worth the price!
Repurchase? No
Bee Good Hydrate Smooth & Prime Serum
I’ve been taking this on my past few weekends away since it seemed the perfect little size for travel, you can also buy these sizes on the Bee Good website too which is fab if you want to try it or it’s a favourite of yours which you want for holiday travels. I finished it up this week after I only had a use or so left in it. Firstly I didn’t think of this as a serum it had a moisturiser texture, serums for me are something I layer with moisturisers and give me an added boost, this one I felt like I couldn’t use with a moisturiser as it made my skin feel too heavy. As a moisturiser alone it was fine and did the job, but I’ve definitely tried other products I’ve preferred.
Repurchase? No.
Nip+Fab Dragon’s Blood Sheet Mask | Review
This was my last blog post reviewed in a Face Mask Friday so I’d take a read there to discover my full thoughts and a more in depth look at the ingredients. But as a rundown, I didn’t like this very much – the fit was poor and I thought it was too expensive for the effects that I saw, I’ve had cheaper sheet masks which have offered me much better results than this. Luckily I got this in the ASOS summer skin box so I didn’t pay outright for it.
Repurchase? No, but I wouldn’t avoid it if I received it in a Beauty Box again.
Bodycare
Imperial Leather Cosmic Unicorn Body Wash
This arrived within a Glossybox and wouldn’t have been something I would have picked myself, it has a very subtle lemon scent which has a slight shimmer to the formula. It was a nice enough formula, cheap and cheerful but the fragrance and packaging were not my favourite.
Repurchase? No
Haircare
Schwarzkopf LIVE Silver Shampoo
I picked this up at Christmas and more of this has ended up on the shower floor than it has on my hair. The packaging of this was awful, constantly leaking. In terms of the formula I didn’t really enjoy it at all either, I didn’t find it effective or making any noticeable difference to my hair, it’s fairly well reviewed online but I thoroughly recommend the Fanola one in the place of this!
Repurchase? Absolutely not.
Herbal Essences Coconut Shampoo & Conditioner
Ben picked these up when I asked him to grab something that would be a travel friendly size (as opposed to the big salon sized bottles I have in the shower), which came as a surprise as he doesn’t like Herbal Essences and normally finds it irritates is scalp. This is my usual pick should I pick something from Herbal Essences. I normally only choose HE when it’s on offer otherwise I opt for Aussie. This was fine, nothing wrong with it, nice scent but not revolutionary. I like the conditioner more than the shampoo from this duo.
Repurchase? Probably at some point when it’s on offer.
And that be your lot! I have more empties brewing – I could probably do another couple at this point the box is getting that full and I’ve finished a lot of haircare off which I’m trying to split over multiple posts. My Empties spreadsheet is tricking towards the £900 mark now and I think if I was to count up everything in my empties I would hit the £1,000 milestone. Over the next few weeks I’m going to concentrate on some smaller samples from my collection, particularly perfumes as I’ve ended up with tonnes from perfume subscriptions I’ve been gifted recently! I’ve also got a new dressing table and I’m moving my products from one to the other which has proved a good way to find all those things that have slipped to the back of drawers or snook over the back, so there’s a bunch of items I could well be trying to finish off from there too!
Have you tried any of these items?

😍❤️!
I live empties posts, always good to know what people think after they’ve finished them as well as when they’re new. I’m not a fan of the philosophy skincare either but a lot of people seem to love it.
Thank you for sharing your experience with these products, Its really helpful 🙂

I’ve been eyeing up the pixi rose cream! Really want to give it a try!
It’s a shame that the NYX powder isn’t anything special! & id definitely need a translucent one so it’s a pass for me xx
