Just a super quick post today, I popped into my local TK Maxx yesterday at lunch after hearing they had lots of Too Faced goodies in some stores (mine did have some bits, but not what I was hoping to see!). And my eyes basically popped out of my head when I saw Formula X polishes from Sephora – and loads of ’em – adorning the nail polish shelf.
I picked up 4 polishes – 2 from their normal polishes range (white caps) and 2 from their nail effects line (black caps). The nail effects I got were Naughty Like Newton (which will go nicely with Freaky Like Freud), which is a deep holo black – I normally don’t love black polishes on me, but this is so full of holo glitter that I look at swatches online and I think I might like this, I know this is a shade that was discontinued. Then the shade Legend (Discontinued I think), which is dark purple blue with a duochrome microglitter blue shift – it reminds me of OPI ink with more of a sparkle.
Then I got the shade Dusk which is a gorgeous foily metallic copper (seems like it’s discontinued) – and a proper burnt orangey copper rather one that sits rose gold – genuinely don’t think I have another colour like this. Finally a sagey green grey cream in the shade Massive (still available) that seems to shift one way or the other depending on the light. All of the colours were £2.99 – that’s a bargain!
Next up topcoat and base coat, these are called the Strength line, and I’ve never heard anything about them, they were £3.99 each and included Prime Strength and Shine Strength. These are still available on Sephora and are 16 dollars (no dollar sign on this keyboard!) each, another bargain find!
Finally, I’ve seen these before and thought they’re a really cute idea for travelling. These are ‘Clix’ which is a row of 4 mini polishes – these were £5.99 and I picked up 2 and put one in my Christmas Giveaway box which will be coming your way shortly. This is the ‘Happy Hour’ Set which features 2 Creams in the shades Perfection (Taupe) and Atomic (Dark Blood Red) and 2 Glitters Fine Like Einstein (Fine Microglitter Pastel Pink & Holo) and Love Chemistry (Pale Rose and Gold Mutidimensioin Glitter).
This was kind of a heads up if you’ve always wanted to try them, you can run and check out your TK Maxx. My local one had lots of NARS Andy Warhol collection stuff, Shisedo Eyeshadow Palettes (which unfortuantely had been attacked by swatchers!), and Too Faced Bits like I mentioned. It’s well worth a gander in there at the moment!
