The finsih on OPI The Sky’s My Limit – is not normally the kind of effect I love for my nails, but when I spotted OPIs The Sky’s The Limit from the Ford Mustang collection in TK Maxx I was immediately drawn to it.
The Sky’s The Limit is a pretty teal blue base. From a distance it looks to have a green/gold/blue shimmer or foil effect – but closer to the eye it looks more like a very very fine micro-glitter. This glided on the nails with so little effort, and was almost opaque in one coat.
As per normal OPI standards, it did have a very nice finish – but I added a slick of topcoat to ensure that it lasted as long as possible, as I knew I was about to have a busy week at work, and wouldn’t have much time for nail painting antics in the evening.
I’ve run out of base coat and didn’t have any spares to hand, and apart from one chip which happened pretty much as soon as I painted (which I think was a fluke), it lasted 5 days on the nails before I repainted. Even then it was pretty much just wear to the tips and no bad chipping to report on! I’ve also had on my toes and a week on they’re still in tip top condition, and are looking pretty in sandals!
OPI The Sky’s My Limit is a super pretty shade for summer, and I can imagine this blue would look lovely whilst sat with toes dipping into a pool…. Ahh can you tell I really want to go on holiday right now!

That’s a really nice colour, I only have one blue and it’s great for summer toes but not as shimmery. I think I’ll have a look out for it next time I go into TK Maxx.
