Phew! Here is the final installment of my June 2015 empties. In here there are a couple of items that were just needing to be thrown in the bin, rather than being empty. But overall, Hi Five to me for getting rid of 46 items from my stash! The old me would go and replace these items, but I’m loving have much more clutter free drawers, and I’m wanting to just have a small group of items that I love or that I’m trying.
Natural Collection Apple and Lime Body Spray
I’m glad to see the back of these natural collection body sprays – I’ve finally made my way though all of the ones I stupidly purchased when I couldn’t get my hands on Victoria’s Secret as we don’t have many stores in the UK. This was the worst from the bunch I bought, smelling lightly like a cleaning product when first applied I tended to not wear this out of the house, but apply after I got out of the shower in the evenings.
English Laundry No 7 Perfume Sample
Received in my June Birchbox, it’s not very often that I actually use these little vials up! Smelling like a cross between Victor and Rolf Flowerbomb and Viva La Juicy (2 of my past favourites), I actually like this more than them both now as it doesn’t swing too floral or too fruity.
Repurchase?: No, it’s a tad on the pricey side (£60) and there’s things I like more if I was going to spend that much
Laura Mercier Foundation Primer
Received in my first my little box, this lasted ages. As the only primer left in my whole collection, I
Revolution Pressed Powder in Translucent
This is amazing. Similar to Rimmel Stay Matt, althuogh I think it is a bit more finely milled. And it’s cheaper at only £2. Plus the packaging is much sturdier and it has a super handy mirror on the back and comes with a sponge for on the go emergencies!
Repurchase? I already have a backup, but I will get another when I get close to finishing!
So Susan Concealer Quad
So this clearly isn’t empty, this arrived with cracked packaging in a glossybox and I never complained because it was rubbish. I went to pull this out to try and find a use for it and it had dried out. Every So Susan product I’ve tried has been terrible, this was no exception, the pigmentation was rubbish and it felt greasy on the skin.
So sad that I’m at the end of this little gem. Probably one of the top products I’ve tried via Love Me Beauty, this was incredible. I won’t talk about this too much as I did a full review here, but I’m in love with it! Will 100% repurchase when I’ve made my way back through my Mascara collection.
Super BB+ Sample
I had the full size of this when BB creams were at their newest a few years ago. I have no idea why I held onto the sample as there was only about half a use left in it! Nice formulation, coverage and adjusted well to my skintone and by far the best out of all the BB creams that I’d tried at the time, but haven’t properly used it in years.
Repurchase? I might do, if I was looking to try a BB Cream again I might repurchase as I did like this.
Cutex Moisture Guard Nail Polish Remover
There’s not much to say on this, a pretty standard nail polish remover!
Repurchase?: Did a fine job, not the best but would repurchase
Nail Girls Topcoat
Received in a glossybox, you’ll notice that this is mostly full! This is a really crap topcoat, firstly it makes nails chip faster, secondly as I’ve come back to it to begrudgingly use it up this month it just takes ages to dry too. I did a beautiful nail art this month, to discover that when I finished with a slick of this it just ruined it was no where near dry within half an hour!
Seventeen Nail Xtras Double Gloss Topcoat x 2
This was my old favourite before discovering Seche Vite – repacked the last time I bought it hense 2 different bottles. I won’t talk too much about these as they were talked about in my Topcoat Showdown last year
Repurchase?: I would if I couldn’t get Seche Vite
OPI Rapidry and Top Coat Minis
My Sister gave me a set of unwanted OPI base and topcoat minis last year, these were okay and to be honest I didn’t notice that Rapidry was ever any faster than the normal version. I liked them, I didn’t love them – no replacement for Seche Vite!
OPI Nail Envy for Dry and Brittle Nails
Boy am I glad to see the back of this, it’s the base coat that never ended. I have had this since Uni, and whilst I didn’t use a base coat religiously until this year, this was used frequently. The last little bit has proved impossible to get out and has gone a bit gloopy so it’s time to say goodbye. This did everything it should but I found normal Nail Envy acted as a smoother base for applying nail polish smoother.
OPI Nail Envy
Despite having dry and brittle nails I much preferred this version of Nail Envy. This teeny sample was my go to for months, and lasted surprisingly long. My nail polish lasted longer when using this, applied smoother and stopped any staining.
Repurchase? I wouldn’t not repurchase, but I’ve just bought Essie Grow Stronger to try out.
Mystery OPI Mini
I went to use this for a nail art look this month, and it had completely dried up. Think it was limited edition as I’ve only ever received Minis as gifts, no idea what set!
Repurchase? Probably LE so no!
