It’s been a hell of a long time since I did a haul of any kind and my last Boots Haul was in October 2018! My buying habits have really changed and I’ve been on a real declutter kick for the past few years that other than the odd purchase here and there, I’m generally just replacing the odd thing in my collection. I hopped onto Boots to replenish a few items such as hairspray and heat protector and got sucked into the sale section.
Schwarzkopf Keratin Hairspray and Keratin Heat Hair Protector
My favourite hairspray was OOS from Schwarzkopf, so I delved into what else they had and had never seen this line before. This line claims to be more “salon-inspired”, and certainly looks a little more professional in the packaging. My hairspray got finished whilst we were in Rome, and my heat protector is on its last legs, so these were needed repurchases. These didn’t have many reviews online – so naturally had me intrigued to see if they were a hidden gem. These were cheap at only £3 each, so I’m hoping they turn out to be budget products that work amazingly.
Boots Cuticle Nippers and Cuticle Pushers
My partner is a cuticle biter, and I’m trying to convince him to let me take care of his cuticles for him and I think I’ve finally won him over. I had a cuticle pusher but it’s seen better days but thought I better “kit myself” up for the task.
Revlon Brow Filler Fibre
A few months ago my friend gave me a Too Faced brow product that was too dark for her and it reignited my love for Brow Fibre products, it’s now on it’s last legs and I needed to replace it. I was having a look on Boots and saw that this had really good reviews, and I’m a little annoyed at myself that it didn’t cross my mind as I never buy from Revlon that I needed to look up if they were cruelty-free. I’m tempted to go and return this item from my Boots Haul to the store and pick something else up instead.
Fenty Fenty Glow Lip Gloss
If you saw my empties you would have seen that I finished up a shade called Cake Shake that was a limited edition shade that is very similar to this one. I was going to repurchase this to replace it at some point but spotted that it was on sale with 15% off (and I had a points boost voucher for spending over £X) so decided to grab it now to take advantage of the two offers. I figured now we’re out of mask-wearing in the UK in most places I’ll be able to wear and enjoy gloss more often and I’ve become a real convert to gloss after ten+ years of hating it!
Fenty Skin The Daily Duo
I was recently sent some products from Fenty, but I wanted a few more to do a group review of their skincare. Fat Water was, in particular, a product I wanted to try as I hear it’s amazing, but I was also intrigued by the cleanser and was sent the full size of this product – but I discovered recently that I have a severe lack of smaller sized cleansers for travel and this will be handy to keep back for future. This set was in the sale reduced down to £8 and was the best and most affordable way to try the Fat Water.
Fenty Gloss and Gleam Set
This was a total bargain, featuring 4 full size products reduced down to £18.50. When Fenty first launched I had this highlighter set and I loved it, but ran through it very quickly and I’d had it on my hitlist to rebuy it at some point – and this deal was cheaper than buying the highlighter alone. The set also featured a full size of the mascara (which I have previously purchased in mini form but accidentally purchased in green, so I’ve only used it a few times!), The Flypencil which I’ve never tried and actually my black liner collection is running low, and finally the Fenty Gloss in the shade Fu$$y which is a similar vibes to Fenty Glow, but more on the pink side that I will get a lot of use from. This set is now OOS online which is a shame!
I think this Boots haul looks like I spent a lot more than £63, with that last Fenty Set alone being worth way over that individually! I’m really happy to have some new items to play with and try and have a little spring refresh of my makeup bag.
