A Random But Very Necessary Favourite

A few months ago I gulped as I was stood in sainsburys only to find that pretty much the only cotton wool pads available were £3.50 – being desperately in need I picked them up.

The Boutique super strong cotton pads come in packs of 100, they are very thick, and slightly textured which makes light work for removing stubborn glitter nail polishes. They’re not so thick that the liquid doesn’t run through to the other side, but not so thin that if you take of your eye makeup its already ran through to the side you haven’t used.

One pad of these is enough to take of my eye make up at the end of the day with one side, and my face make up with the other. They’re larger than every other cotton pad I’ve come across and as pictured, they’re about the same size as an OPI Polish.

I’ve bought several other packs since then – from Boots, Superdrug and Co-Op, but none have come close to comparing. I need more of them and go through a pack in 2 weeks or less. So this week when I spotted they were back in stock during my food shop I was happy to throw them in the trolley, and distract my boyfriend as they were scanned through the till – lets face it he wouldn’t understand!

They’re also 100% cotton, I’ve recently discovered, that news to me – cotton pads often contain chemicals and other nasty ingredients which aren’t needed near my eyes!

I never thought I would be excited to have a pack of cotton wool pads back in my life but I am!

If you hate running through cotton wool as quick as I do, I recommend trying these out – unfortunately they’re made for Sainsburys exclusively so only available in the UK.

Anything that helps get stubborn glitter nail polish off has me sold! I always forget how hard it is to get off and regret painting my nails 😛 xx
