Feel Unique Pick N Mix Service

Feel Unique Pick N Mix

Going to try and keep this super short today, but I thought this new service from Feel Unique was quite interesting so wanted to fill you in – in case you hadn’t heard of it. I don’t want to make it too long  as there’s not too much to say, and I don’t think this will become a regular feature unless people are interested in it being one!

The Pick N Mix service allows you to pick 5 items a month for £3.95  to pick sample sizes from of products  you might have been eyeing up for a while. That £3.95 is redeemable instantly against your next order (annoyingly you do have to place the order then use the code on the confirmation to redeem, but if you’re planning on making an order – it essentially means you get these items for free, and whatever you’re about to buy for a a little cheaper. As I’m writing this there’s a massive selection of products to try – 405 to be exact. The bulk of the items seems to be in skincare, but there’s perfumes, makeup and hair care in the mix.

One thing I really liked about the selection process was that you could see how big the sample sizes were – so you knew if you were getting a ‘good value for money’ freebie, or whether it might be a one use item. You could also sort the type of sample – so if you hate a foil packet, you can totally avoid them. The samples aren’t deluxe, but for free they’re definitely not all that bad.

I picked up a sample of the Bare Minerals Bare Skin Serum foundation, this is a small one, I’m not even sure if it’s enough to do my whole face, but hey ho we’ll see. I’ve heard good things about this foundation – I think it’s fairly new. It’s a pretty dark shade so I’m going to crack this out while my spanish tan is still lingering.

I also got the Amazing Concealer card – it has 5 different shades out of it’s selection of 20 – all of the ones featured are pretty dark, so if you’re a pale gal I wouldn’t recommend this sample for you, whilst there are super pale shades in the range they’re just not available to try. This sample is great value for money, and I’ve heard good things about this waterproof high coverage concealer too!

I also ordered a shampoo and conditioner duo from Neal and Wolf – a brand I discovered last year in my Love Me Beauty box. Unfortunately I only received the shampoo and the conditioner didn’t arrive. Shame as I love the scent of the Neal and Wolf line and would love to try more bits from them.

Quite possibly my favourite sample was a tiny pot of the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm – it looks like it’s literally a one use pot as it’s so small. But I’ve been wanting to try this for years as it’s such a cult fave in the beauty community!

Last but not least – a sample of the sensitive skin micellar water from Bioderma, I thought this would be handy as an overnight travel sample, I’ve never had the sensitive skin version before only the regular and whilst I’ve liked it, I’ve never liked it more than Garnier’s which is a fraction of the price. There’s loads of the bioderma skincare on there to try if you’ve been curious about the line past their infamous Micellar water.

To find the service (it’s a little hidden!) you have to be logged in to a feel unique account, go to Samples > Pick N Mix. If you haven’t ordered from feel unique before, please use my referral code here and it will give you 15% off your next order, I don’t think it will apply to a pick n mix order due to that being free + delivery, but you’ll be able to use with your delivery discount on your next order.

This is such a great idea, I think I will have a look at doing this too. Especially as I’m soon to be on a student budget soon, eek.

This is such a neat idea! It would be good for people with sensitive skin too, they can try a sample size and if it breaks them out they haven’t forked out for the full size product and it won’t go to waste 🙂 x

I’ve been curious about that Amazing concealer too. You can probably use the darler colours as contour as even as eye shadow bases!
Oooh that Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm is a cult classic! I hope you like it (or not… since it’s pricey isn’t it?)
This service is great – love getting samples to test out.

Yes I think I could get away with the darker ones especially now I’m a little tanned from Spain! I’ll report back on it!
I’ve been eyeing a miniature pot of the Moringa balm for about a year but it’s still £25 – I’ll savour and make notes on this one use pot before I decide whether to buy the mini!
Samples are great especially when we have massive stashes, cures the feeling of wanting to try something new without having to buy to do it!

That’s nice! Several shades in one sample… Would be good to find one that works.
