A while ago I promised a review of OPI’s Dinner at Sunset which I purchased from a warehouse, at the same time as another polish, you can see the review of OPI Pulled Out A Plum here, which was the other purchased.
OPI Dinner at Sunset is a stunning coral colour, in most lights it sits in the red coral family, but in some it transforms to being a beautiful pink coral. As with my other review of pulled out a plum, I think this might be a ‘seconds’ shade, the other just didn’t seem to impress me without a topcoat as I would normally expect with OPI, and had slight patchyness. Dinner at Sunset is part of no permanent OPI line or collection as far as I can tell, but I have no idea why.
Unlike Pulled Out A Plum where I could find flaws in the formulation, this one I can’t, it’s opaque in two coats and nice and glossy by itself, the wear time is wonderful – 5 days without no chips with Essie’s Set in Stones pictured above, with no clear topcoat, on a side note this makes a lovely duo!
This colour is perfect for summer, and would look seriously stunning with a tan to counteract. It’s a classic colour in many ways but I can’t describe why, it just is more beautiful than any other coral in my collection.
Pick this up if you ever see it, or it can be found online. Trust me when I say you need it.
