Topshop Lustlist

I have a love hate relationship with Topshop, sometimes their clothes fit me perfectly, sometimes it’s like i’m trying to squeeze into something that’s 10 sizes too small. They flit from the majority of the store being uber on trend, in a way which the vast majority of people can’t pull off. But right now they are killing it for me, I had a quick browse at work, when looking for some wording inspiration, and I saw so many items (this post could have been triple the size), so I thought I’d share some of the favourite things I saw.

Double Embellished Jumper

I’ve been looking for a slouchy white jumper, I saw one on ASOS but it disappeared from my cart and has since gone out of stock. I think this might be the one, it’s really not cheap, so I’m going to try and find it in store to see if it’s worth the cash, and I have a weird wool allergy, so will see if this makes me itch. But if not this baby will be coming home with me. This seems quite expensive, and is the most that I will have ever spent on a jumper if they have it in store!

Here: £46.00

Double Layer Sheer Solid Sweat

Again a lovely slouchy long jumper, great for me as I’m tall, and this will probably just look normal, I like the sleeve detail, and around the neckline it almost looks as if you’re wearing two layers. Love love love this, I hope its nice and soft too. Although again it does seem a little overpriced.

Here: £38.00

Rachel Strappy Heels

I love rose gold, and I’m quickly building up a rose gold collection, of jewellery, watches and clothes… No shoes yet. Plus these are named after me… albeit they made a typo. Topshop, I told you Rachael, not Rachel. These will be perfect for the upcoming festive season, and I think these would also look really nice dressing up a casual jeans and leather jacket outfit.

Flower Stone Headband

I saw this and wanted it immediately, I literally have no idea as to when I could/would be able to wear this. That being said it would be a really nice way to easily dress up a black dress!

Here: £18.50 – eek

Nail Varnish – Usual Suspects

I don’t think this needs any explanation, nice autumnal/wintery shade.

Here: £6

Tall Animal Print Cami

My head tells be I shouldn’t like this, but my heart tells me to order it immediately. From the tall section, this is great for the everyday and for wearing to work too.

Here: £26.00

Checked Shorts

I have a feeling these will be too short for my silly long legs, especially as their not from the tall section. I think these look really smart, so smart I could probably get away with wearing them for work. They’re probably not the kind of thing I would actually buy, despite loving them – as for the price, and the amount of times I would wear them – the cost per wear would probably be a tenner. But I think these would be beautiful on the right person.

I find that Topshop makes really good quality clothes that last a long time, so they are worth spending the bit extra on. Just this week I had 3 different people compliment me on a skirt I got from there a few years ago and they were surprised when I said how old it was because the colour hasn’t faded at all!
Completely agree about them being either hit or miss with how wearable their clothes are though. Sometimes it’s all a bit too high fashion for me. That nail varnish is intriguing me though!x

I agree most of the time with their clothes being higher quality, I did buy a jumper last year though, which I must have only hand washed 3-4 times, and it’s gone fluffy and fuzzy, and isn’t the shape when I bought it! That’s the only time mind you, but it makes me think about spending £40 again, especially without seeing it!

If there’s a store I can go to, I prefer to see clothes in person before buying. I’ve found I return things I buy online from sites like asos so much I’ve almost stopped using them. In fact, I got an asos order yesterday and I need to return half of it! the only company I order online from regularly is black milk clothing because their size guide is really good and I’ve never been disappointed with the quality. Plus they don’t have a store for me to visit. x

Same, have a big box of 9 items from ASOS, i’m only keeping 2! Never heard of black milk… checking them out immediately 🙂

Asos sizes are far too unpredictable! Haha they’re my clothing obsession! I currently have two things on their way me and plan to get more soon! Although some is for bday/xmas, I can’t afford that much otherwise as they’re Australian x

I actually did a wish list post featuring them the other week x
