A Little Lunch Time Haul

At lunch time I visited a new out of city TK Maxx, which I hadn’t paid a visit to yet, since it opened a few weeks ago. Very rude of me! I love TK Maxx and the reason I went in was to try and find a dog bed. Naturally I came out with 2 things from H&M and 2 Nail Varnishes. No Dog Bed.

So first off I bought a necklace in H&M for £9.99 – I asked myself in the store if I really needed another statement necklace, and my heart answered that by walking to the till and paying for it. I don’t have anything in this kind of khaki brown colour, and is very apt for this time of year, it’s also beautiful with the pale minty blue, and I think I will get a lot of wear out of it. That particular necklace isn’t online at the moment, but they did have lots of other beautiful necklaces which I saw in store online.

Whilst there, I spotted this phone case which I spotted last week online and put into my basket, before deciding not to place the order. I do actually need a new phone case as my Kate Spade lovliness has served me well for over a year and has a crack. This was I think… £5.99. I’m not sure how long it’s going to look nice for, as it’s already got a few scratches on the gold in a matter of hours… All I’ve done is have it on my desk and listen to the new Taylor Swift album… 3 times. (Online to buy case here!)

Then I’m glad I dragged my friend who was with me to have ‘just a quick look’ at the beauty section as I almost chose to not subject him to it. I spied a few Burberry beauty goodies. I’ve wanted to try Burberry’s line for ages, but I think you can only get in Harrods here in the UK.

These look small until you pull the cap off, and they reveal a bit more product, The packaging is uber-sleek and glossy, with the trademark Burberry check etched onto the shiny gunmetal lid. I’ve been reaching for greens a lot over the past couple of weeks, and most liked these colours out of what they had. The one on the left is called Sage Green and the right is called Metallic Khaki, no doubt you can expect reviews and swatches of these coming up shortly. These were £7.99 each, normally retailing at £15.

They did have some eyeshadows and shadow palettes, but unfortunately the peasants of the world (people who do not appreciate the make up) had jabbed their fingers into every single eyeshadow that was there.

If you’ve always wanted to try Burberry beauty, but like me never been able to, go and check out your local TK Maxx and see if they have anything in stock! Unfortunately they don’t sell beauty on their website.

I did have a good look over the polishes, theres was lots of big brands there like ciate, butter and opi – but all the colours were a bit odd, maybe because its a new store its had a heavy footfall and everything has been picked over more than usual! X
