I bought this Sally Hansen Cuticle Eraser Balm almost a year ago now, and even photographed it straight away (yay for year old pictures!) but it’s laid relatively unloved until recently when the winter starting really getting the worst of my cuticles I decided it was time to actually start trying this out and seeing whether it was any good at actually tackling the job.
Disappointedly, for some reason looking at this I thought it was going to smell of mint, but it doesn’t. I saw lots of rave reviews of this product and sadly it doesn’t really deliver for me, I really don’t like the texture, it’s sticky and really messy to apply. It never rubs into the skin so you have to be in a situation where you can cope with having sticky fingers for an hour or so it’s lived in my handbag for the past 2 months and I’ve only ever been able to use it at my desk at work.
Add to that the sticky horrible mess it leaves after 6 weeks of using this pretty much every day, my cuticles are still not any better than what they were. I’m blessed with a bout of dry hangnails especially on my thumbs and the Sally Hansen Cuticle Eraser doesn’t exfoliate them as it promises, and it doesn’t soften them enough to help buff them away and repair. Overall a let down
If you have any tips for getting rid of dry cuticles and hang nails, please do let me know in the comments, at this point I’m willing to try just about everything and anything.
