Etmore Beauty Argan Eyes Call Me Soon Palette Review

Etmore Beauty Argan Eyes Call Me Soon Palette Review

A few months ago I won a competition from new beauty brand for one of their eyeshadow palettes – the Etmore Beauty Argan Eyes Call Me Soon, it arrived in the week we were moving – so seemingly got a little lost in the chaos, but I found it a few weeks ago and decided to give it a good try.

Etmore is an affordable and cruelty free brand, the majority of the products are argan oil infused. On their website they describe themselves as being obsessed with dupes – but for the life of be I’ve been unable to work out what this palette is trying to be similar if it’s a dupe based line. It feels really original to me.

I won their eyeshadow palette called ‘Call Me Soon’ and I was very intrigued to see whether this would be great or not as my last few experiences with budget brands have been pretty up and down when it comes to eyeshadow.

The packaging of the Etmore Beauty Argan Eyes Call Me Soon palette is simple and decent quality for the price point it is, it comes in a cardboard slip, and is packaged in white and gold. The inner packaging is the same, plastic packaging and has a good sized mirror on the inside. The palette isn’t tiny – but it’s certainly travel friendly and packs a lot of product into the space.

There are eight square pans in this palette featuring six shimmer shades and two matte shades. On first opening I was struck by an ‘ooh’ they’re pretty colours – but it seemed to be a very mixed mixed bag – pinks, lilac, bronzes, champagne and terracotta. The shades are completely nameless.

Etmore Beauty Argan Eyes Call Me Soon Swatches

All shades swatched are just one swipe and have great pigmentation.

Row 1 :
Golden Bronze Shimmer, Champagne Shimmer, Lilac Shimmer, Rose Pink Matte

Row 2:
Coral Pink Shimmer, Copper Bronze Shimmer, Pink Shimmer, Terracotta Matte

Etmore Beauty Call Me Soon Eye Looks

Look 1

I used the champagne shade all over the lid, with the terracotta shade on the outer corner and under the lashes. Together I feel like the red looks more red, and the champagne looks closer to white.

Look 2

I used the pink matte shade through the crease with the terracotta shade through the outer corner. I placed the champagne shade in the inner corner and began to mix that through into golden bronze shade, then into the copper bronze shade.

Look 3

I used the matte pink all the way through the crease, then with the same brush I mixed the terracotta shade lightly with with the matte pink to give a slightly darker outer corner. I then used the lighter metallic pink all over the eyes, and placed the tiniest bit of the champagne shade on the inner corner dragging slightly under the lash. I used the matte pink shade through the rest of the bottom lashes.

The colours in the Etmore Beauty Argan Eyes Call Me Soon eyeshadow palette have incredible pigmentation and I was surprised how well that they swatched, they blended just as well and laid colour down quickly and easily. There was a little fall out I found with blending, however I’ve definitely had worse and found that they blended into each other very easily. I found that with a primer (just like I apply all eyeshadows) these held up all day long with little to no fading. I still slightly struggle with the colour-story of this palette, whilst I do like all of the shades I really struggle to get the lilac shade to pair with the darker mattes.

The terracotta matte shade is a delight to work with, but I personally would find a less orangey brown easier to work with all of the shades – it pulls the pinkier shades in this palette more coral when paired together, it doesn’t match with the lilac. But it’s a lovely, lovely matte and I do pair it with others even though it’s not personally my favourite type of dark matte for outer corners.

The thing I do like about this palette is that you can create a lot of different looks from it. There’s wearable pinks for a slightly more colourful looks, champagnes for easy “goes with everything”, as well as some gorgeous rich bronze shades.

I’m so impressed with the quality of the Etmore Beauty Argan Eyes Call Me Soon for £9.99, it comes it at a similar price as the brand Sleek – but I think the quality of these shadows are much much better in texture and more buttery feeling. If you’re after a travel palette that will offer you a lot of different colour options, and don’t want to break the bank this is a brand worth taking a look into. They’ve definitely left me curious for trying more from them in future!

Palette won in competition so I received FOC, but as far as I’m aware they didn’t know I was a blogger and I was under no obligation to review

These looks are all great, and I am really impressed with the pigmentation!
It could have been perfect if they had named the shades (then itยดs easier to remember what you have used) I would love to se a palette from them where they made the shades match (instead of very different shades here)
Nontheless I would love this in my chaos of makeup! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Completely agree – a lot easier to tell people what you’ve used in posts too! the pigmentation is great – I think they’ll be a brand to watch in future!
