Three New Bras from UKLingerie.com

Three New Bras from UKLingerie.com

[Gifted] Bras for me have always been a difficult purchase – especially online. I can often find that whilst there are a lot of retailers online selling a wide selection of bras – when you get up to my cup size, the interest and prettiness often dwindles off. However when UKLingerie.com got in touch and offered me the opportunity to choose some items out from their site, I first took a careful glance over choices in my size range online – and was pleasantly surprised by the huge range of brands, styles and a wide range of price points.

Whilst I had the opportunity to pick out some fancier bra brands, I was most drawn to those in my normal kind of price range and my normal kind of styles. I wanted to see what they would offer in my normal price-range and style, and I wasn’t disappointed, in fact I had a hard time narrowing down my choices. For reference, all of these bras are in my normal size, 36G.

Lepel Fiore Tshirt Bra

My first pick was the Lepel Fiore Tshirt Bra this bra came in two different colours, nude and black. I decided to opt for black as I always lean towards nude. What I liked about this particular style online was the cup style was completely plain – meaning it will look nice and smooth no matter what it’s worn under. However it’s got some beautiful details with a scalloped lace detail under the bust and a lace panel detail with corsetted ribbon on the side. This is comfortable and is a nice twist on a basic style, this is the most me from the bunch – I find plunging styles the most flattering on my bust visually.

UKLingerie.com – Curvy Kate Essentials Victory Bra

My next choice was from Curvy Kate, a brand which I’ve surprisingly never tried before. This was the Essentials Victory Balcony Bra – something that was a little bit different for me in terms of style, as I normally opt for something more plunging like the Lepel bra above. I’ll admit I was expecting that this from the pictures online was not a sheer bra and it had a “sheer effect” as I tend to always opt for something with some light padding. However once I tried it on, it was a little bit different and I decided to keep it as it turned out to be very comfortable.

It’s much more of a full coverage than I’m used to, but I found it to feel quite supportive due to the lined mesh and the four part cup which offered flattering shaping to what can be a difficult style I think unless you’re either very full busted (which despite my cup size, I don’t believe I am when you consider my height) or are smaller breasted where structural support isn’t necessarily a major concern.

I like the details in this bra such as the cut out detail in the middle with the silver dangling triangle in the centre (although, I’ll admit I’m not quite sure what it’s there for!). My one comment with this is that I have to be in the right mood for it – the wire in the centre comes up quite high on the breast bone and as a result I can feel a little restricted in it. So it’s not one I’ll wear all day in the office, but for nights out when I want to wear something and feel a little sexy, this will be a winner.

The quality of this bra is fantastic, and it certainly won’t be my last Curvy Kate bra.

UKLingerie.com – Gossard Gypsy Apex Triangle Bra

My last pick from UKLingerie.com was the Gossard Gypsy High Apex Lace bra, this was the most “out there” choice for me – as I rarely go for non-neutral colours as well as ones which are so heavily laced, but I found this really pretty online and thought it would be worth stepping out of my “comfort zone” with a different choice. It has the plunging shape that I’m used to but has more detail with an apex lace panel which scoops from the top of the shoulder downwards.

This is a very different shaped bra for me with such high detail coming up at the sides, I was worried that the lace would be heavily textured and as a result show thorough on absolutely everything it’s worn under, but it’s the softest, silkiest lace which is virtually undetectable. Due to how high the lace comes and how it scoops across, this will be an under-jumper-only bra for me (which is fine at this time of year – but in summer when I live in strappy tops and light weight cardigans in the office I don’t think it will be one I can get much wear from. Not an issue particularly – as I’ll get more enjoyment out of it for many a/w seasons to come as the quality as you’d expect from Gossard is fantastic.

Massive thanks to UKLingerie.com for helping kit out my lingerie drawer with some new items – I’ve got my eye on a few more already from their site and hope to be trying some more brands from them in the not too distant future.

The photography and pictures in this post are tasteful and gorgeous – did you take them yourself? The issue I have with bra shopping is I have narrow shoulders and not exactly tiny boobs so the straps have to be further in or else bras don’t support me properly, the cups don’t cover how I would like and the straps slip off more than usual. I’m not a huge lace fan either, a little bit is ok or if it;s a bra not for everyday it’s fine but you have to be so careful when you wash them not to catch the lace on anything lol

Thank you – yes I did take them myself, I got out my tripod and I can connect my phone on wifi to my camera to see the angles and use it as a remote! They didn’t turn out too badly! Yeah in general I avoid lace unless I can see that it lies pretty flat and is unlikely to get caughtl, a lot of more embroidered lace styles I find can also start to look worn quite quickly!

Ooh that sounds like a nifty system! Some lace doesn’t sit nicely and can be seen underneath clothes.

I absolutely love these photos! Would love to see more fashion posts. I have trouble finding bras in my size that actually look nice too. The last time I went to get fitted I had two to choose from that were somewhat my style but still completely different from what I usually go for. These ones look great though!
