Vitamasques Multivitamin Sheet Mask – Face Mask Friday #67

Vitamasques Multivitamin Sheet Mask – Face Mask Friday #67

Face Mask Friday’s have been pretty scarce around here, I’ve been focussed on trying to finish up two full size ones from my collection and even since I’ve been using both of those atleast twice weekly since Christmas, I still seem to be no where near the end of either. As a result I’ve not been delving very far into my untried and untested pile. The Vitamasques Multivitamin Sheet Mask arrived with my February Glossybox, and I had every intention of shoving it into my sheet mask basket, but this weekend, after it had been left on my “to sort” pile for way too long, and I decided instead to slap it on my chops whilst doing some tidying up in my bedroom.

My skin at the minute has been troublesome, you’ll be able to see that the painful breakout I’ve been suffering for the past two weeks almost is peeking through this sheet mask. I don’t get blemishes very often any more – but every six months or so I’ll have an epic breakout which lasts a week or two and then disappears again, I have no idea why but it seems to have been the cycle for the past 18 months to two years. As a result I was hoping for a mask which might calm down my angry breakout.

Vitamasques is a brand I hadn’t heard of until I’d had a different mask in a previous Glossybox before Christmas. I didn’t end up reviewing that one in the end, I intended to, but by the time I had time to write it up the Christmassy themed pictures had well and truly past their moment, so I decided to skip it as there wasn’t too much to say as I found the peel off glitter mask gimmicky. So it’s safe to say my hopes were pegged on a better performance from this one.

The packaging of this mask is lovely – I like that it almost feels a little bit medicinal as it’s shaped like a pill – but the bright pink and blue colours don’t make it feel sterile and clinical, it still has a bit of personality. Vitamasques is a brand which is inspired by K-beauty innovation, but is a brand which comes from the UK. At £4.99 it’s at an okay price point, anything more than that I find it hard to justify to spend on something that’s literally on my face for 30 minutes or less.

This masque describes itself as ultra thin fibre sheet, which I didn’t read until just now. but it wasn’t hard to notice as I was placing it on just how thin the tissue was. Smoothed over the skin it looked almost undetectable except around the eye area where I found the mask a little bit of an odd fit around my face.

Before applying the blemished areas felt red and angry, and overall my skin was looking and feeling pretty parched. The mask instantly felt cooling on the skin and offered some immediate relief to a pretty sore area, I left the mask on for about 20 minutes and I was pleasantly surprised that it hadn’t tried out within that time, I definitely could have kept it on for longer. Instead, I squeezed out the thin serum that there was plenty off left in the packet, smothered it over my neck and my face and waited for that to settle in to make sure I used up every drop.

Once my skin had soaked up the product I could immediately tell my skin felt more plumped and hydrated, The spots I had didn’t really look any less red, but they felt well soothed. As an all rounder the masks vitamins, in general seemed to do make a noticeable, temporary difference to the skin. Vitamins B3 (moisturising and anti-ageing), B5 (protective), B6 (repairing), C (brightening) & E (moisturising).

If the Vitamasques Multivitamin Sheet Mask was a little easier accessed, I could see myself picking it up again as part of an essentials restock as a bonus treat. However I feel that it’s unlikely, unless this becomes better stocked in stores then I probably won’t go out of my way for it as I have so many sheet masks in my collection. However if you like trying new masks brands out, Vitamasques are worth a try with lots of different types on offer.

Very nice review!! I think this is the kind of mask I would need, especially that I have lots of redness and acne spots!!

I really need to try some sheet masks, this one sounds good. I’m in the learning stages with skincare but I want to get into it more.

There are some great sheet masks available that are easily accessible – I really like the Garnier sheet mask in the blue packet.

I love using sheet masks 1-2 times a week. I prefer clay/mud masks as I have very oily skin. But sometimes when my skin feels dry I use a sheet mask. These are all so soothing and hydrating. I have not tried this brand but there are so many K-beauty brands available for me. 🙂

I’m the same – I’m oily but dehydrated, clay masks tend to help with both sides for me. Sheet masks often offer me a massive boost of hydration though!

Looks like a nice mask! You reminded me that I still gotta get one for my Sunday SPA at home! (I always try to use masks on Sundays) ^_^ Thanks for sharing!

Great post! How long did the plumping, hydrating effect last?

Noticeably for 12 hours, but my skin felt very hydrated for 36, which I’d say is pretty standard for a good sheet mask.
