ASOS Bobbi Brown Beauty Box – November 2018

ASOS Bobbi Brown Beauty Box – November 2018

Well hello! It feels like it’s been ages since I sat down and did this – I intended to take a longer break away from blogging but I spotted this box this week and I suspect it’s going to be a quick sell out – so I thought I’d do a quick post today to alert you of it as I did show it on my instastories too.

Bobbi Brown is a brand I’ve slowly been discovering this year. It was never a brand that was accessible to me growing up and it’s still not a brand that’s on my doorstep, whilst we do now have an Estee Lauder umbrella brand outlet which stocks it. But I’ve had growing curiosity for the brand and a good experience with everything I tried and with some items in here on my “to try” list at some point this seemed like a perfect opportunity at a great price point.

The ASOS Bobbi Brown Beauty Box available exclusively through ASOS for £15 – utter bargain. And features 5 minis, and a full size which is worth £22 alone. If like me you’ve wanted to try and discover the brand this is a great time, and would make a fabulous Christmas present too and comes in a lovely designed box.

Okay so first up is the more base and skincare related items. First is the Extra Repair Moisture Cream which is heading straight to my bedside table to put to the test, I’ve heard this is great and after a stressful week where I’ve left my skin pretty neglected this sounds like it might be just what my skin needs! The Vitamin Enriched Face Base I’ve heard is great for all skin types – it’s a bit of hybrid product where it’s good as a moisturiser but also good as a moisturising primer. And Last Up is the Illuminating Moisture Balm in Bare Glow – I presume this is like an illuminating primer which I have way, way too many of – but it would be nice to see how this stacks up against the rest – and a good little size for travel too.

Onto the more makeup related items is the Smokey Eye Mascara in Black, I’ve heard this is a good one and I immediately want to have this as my next to try out and review, so I’ll report back in on this soon! Earlier in the year I reviewed a Crushed Lip Colour Lipstick in ‘Cali Rose’ which has been a favourite since I’ve had it, the formula is so comfortable, so when I saw a mini of the shade ‘Babe’ which seemed perfect for this time of year as a more Berry toned pink. And finally the full sized item, a long wear cream shadow in the shade Beach Bronze, this looks like such a pretty shade and I can see it being a lovely colour to use as a base for other shadows as well as an easy product to do a simple and quick eye look with.

I did a quick total and the value of this box is well in excess of £50 (my maths is a little ropey after a very long week of dragging boxes, hanging curtains and moving furniture around). You can find it here on ASOS’ website – whilst they do ship internationally, this can only be shipped to EU/EEA countries.

If you’re a Bobbi Brown fan please let me know what your favourites are – I want to keep a beady eye on my local outlet for some amazing bargains!

Nice box! Only Bobbi Brown item I have is their blush in the shade Tawny (medium pinky brown). It’s one of my fave blushes.

I checked this out on ASOS when you mentioned it on your stories! I would have considered buying this box if it could be shipped worldwide. As you say it’s a great value and a nice way to try Bobbi Brown! Enjoy everything xx

What an absolute bargain! Yes yes yes to Bobbi Brown. It’s honestly one of my favourites.

I tried the Smokey Eye Mascara this year although it was just a sample size (that still lasted me ages) and yes to that. I admit that I use it over mascara primer cos my lashes are just utter crap lol but I really loved this product. I considered buying full-size but as someone who has like 5 mascaras in the queue, I thought I’d hold out.

I have tried the hydrating eye cream and rather liked that. If you have a drier eye, they have a rich version which I heard is great. Other skincare I’ve tried is the cleansing oil. It’s really comfortable on the skin and doesn’t feel oily at all yet takes everything off. The vitamin-enriched face base is certainly next on my list – I’m just trying to use up some products!

Make-up favourites that come to mind include the compact powder which is probably one of the best powders I’ve ever used. Always makes my skin look healthy and it’s long-lasting too which is a gem is you get oily quite easily.

    For 15 GBP?!?!?! That’s such a steal!

My favourite product from bobbi brown is their kabuki brush and gel liner (the one in the pot). Their shimmer bricks are long lasting on the skin, but they’re too shimmery (borderline glittery) in my opinion.

My friend loves the shimmer bricks but I agree, they’re way too shimmery for me! How are you getting on with yours, I know you were trying to finish it?

Ooh I’ll have to keep an eye out for those, I have heard good things about the gel liner!

Not even a dimple yet. That pan is gigantic 😭

Yeah, their gel liner is great and lasts forever as well 🀣
