Picks from the Beauty Bay Sale

If there’s one thing that’s going to get my heartbeat racing and my debit card quaking it’s the incoming notification that there’s a Beauty Bay Sale on. I thought I’d share some pieces that have caught my eye, past purchases which I like that are now on sale and also which two items I decided to cave for myself.

One thing I will say is that I don’t know how long this sale is on so hopefully it lasts more than a day or two! Beauty Bay do ship internationally however not every brand ships everywhere so you’ll have to hop onto their website to see what you can get sent to you!

Purchased

Violet Voss Hashtag Palette (Normally £43.00 now £34.39)
Link to Buy

This is a palette I’ve been lusting after since before it launched and have sensibly kept myself away from it until it went on sale. The palette features a mix of neutrals, orange tones and a glorious row of jewel toned purples. I have two VV palettes already and they’re amongst my favourites of all time so the fact that I’ve finally caved for this will come as no surprise to most who know my makeup collection well.

Jouer Essential High Coverage Foundation (Normally £34.00 now £23.79)
Link to Buy

I’ve had this on my hitlist to try for a while after hearing it’s good for oily skin and when I saw it at the discounted price I had to give it a go. I opted for the shade Pebble after a bit of research and checking foundation matrixes around the internet, I got very mixed results and opted for Jouer’s own suggestion as I thought other shades looked way too pale.

Previously Purchased and Recommended by Me

Makeup Geek Pans
Link to Buy

I’ve done a big roundup of my Makeup Geek Eyeshadow Pans collection in the past where I’ve swatched and linked to all of them and recommended my favourites. Whilst all the different finishes are discounted, not every shade in each finish is, but they’re at such a great price regardless it’s worth a look.
Foiled Pans start at £2.37
Duochrome Pans start at £3.47
Normal Pans (Shimmers/Mattes) start at £1.98

CoverFX Shimmer Veil in Moonstone
Link to Buy

I have a couple of these and this is the only one I really like from the trio that I picked up. This is a really gorgeous foily finish metallic shade which lasts really well on the eye. I have a review of this (and a big liquid  eyeshadow comparison) coming and this is in my top favourites.

Z Palette Mini (Normally £4.50 now £3.60)
Link to Buy

I have this which I absolutely love for plucking out three pans from my giant Makeup Geek palette for travels or nights away. They have great deals across the Z-Palette line but if you have a lot of singles this is a good option to add to your travel bag! Not the biggest saving of all time, but if you’re trying to tip yourself over a delivery limit a worthwhile addition.

Illamasqua Beyond Powder in OMG (Normally £34.00 now £23.79)
Link to Buy

This is a gorgeous highlighter and the one I wore on my wedding day. It’s a subtle duochrome that has a champagne to peach shift, by default it’s quite subtle in pigment but is easily built up if something ultra bam is desired. The pan size of these are huge and they are a baked formula so they last forever. It’s been my go to highlighter for a few months non-stop now and it’s still looking like new.

Jeffree Star Holiday Collection Liquid Lipsticks (Normally £16.00 now £11.19)
Link to Buy

The packaging of these are simply stunning and if you’re a makeup collector you’re going to want to get your hands on one (or more!) of these. I picked up two at Christmas time, my favourite being Pointsettia which I thought I’d only wear around winter, but I’ve surprised myself in reaching for it since. It’s a gorgeous wearable metallic red.

Not Purchased But Great Deal

ABH Modern Renaissance Palette (Normally £43.00 now £34.39)
Link to Buy

I ummed and arhed over this palette for a long time and decided the only bits personally I wanted were the pink shades so I attempted to get dupes in the form of Makeup Geek pans. There will be lots of people who still have their eye on this palette and it’s at a great price (maybe the best I’ve noticed it at!) so I had to include it!

Dose of Colours Marvellous Mauve Eyeshadow Palette (Normally £28.00 now £19.59)
Link to Buy

I’ve heard such good reviews about the Dose of Colours eyeshadows and again this is such a pretty pink toned selection. With just five pans it’s not as good value for money as others, but as I’ve said I’ve only heard great things about the DOC eyeshadow formula.

Mario Badescu Mask Mist Duo (Normally £16.00 now £11.19)
Link to Buy

I loved the last MB mist that I’ve tried and I’ve also had great things about the masks from the line. This duo is really well reviewed on the website. If I didn’t have an excess of masks and mists I would be jumping for it quite significantly. But it’s well worth investigating if you haven’t tried anything from MB yet.

Hope you enjoyed a quick little roundup of my picks from the Sale. Let me know if you’ve picked anything up yourself or if there’s anything here you’ve plan on getting.

  1. Curse you. I had no idea that Beauty Bay was holding a sale right now. 😮
Off to browse to see what I “need”… 😛 Maybe it’s time to finally try something from Jouer.
I’ve been on a shopping rampage lately – happens every year close to my birthday! 😉
