Spring Beauty Shakeup with Marks and Spencer

One shop that has become a staple in my routine for years is M&S, there was even one year that I had to set myself a New Years Resolution to shop in other places than M&S because I was becoming a walking catalogue. Over the past few years they’ve upped their beauty game offering a wider selection of brands as well as working on their own lines and formulas. I have an M&S close-by to my work and can often be found wandering their aisles, swatching, sniffing and ultimately spending. So when they got in touch and asked if I wanted to work with them, of course the natural answer was, yes!

I got back into work after a day working from home to find a lovely parcel at my desk, there was a few bits I’d eyed for a while as well as some extra surprise inclusions from the PR team, I thought I’d share the gorgeous pieces I’ve been sent and then I will start following up with reviews once I’ve had chance to test and use the products.

Autograph Makeup

First up was two Luminosity Liquid Radiance, these are strobe like creams that can be used to prime the face, mix in with foundation or lightly dabbed on the cheekbones to highlight. These came in two really gorgeous shades one which is more pearl toned pink (Rose) and a peachy gold tone (called Gold).

Next up was another glowy item from the Autograph range, the Face Definition Duo was a double sided blush/highlighter pan which kind of reminds me of the Fenty split highlighters. My colour-way Blush contained a pale pinky toned shimmery shade that would be lovely as a highlighter as well as a shimmery pink blush shade that will be perfect coming into spring. This also comes in a warmer more bronze colour way that looks gorgeous for summer.

The last base product came in the form of a pressed power in the shade Light Medium. M&S knew I was in the need of a new powder, my stash is running seriously low – I’m hoping this will be a good match for me now, however I might have to wait another month or two for my skin to see some sunshine as I’m at my palest right now!

Last up, I put one of these down as something I’d like to try – but I can’t remember which, I think it was the shade Gold on the right. Both of these quads are really stunning colours and I’m looking forward to putting these both to the test, these quads are really well reviewed and they look like things that are great to take for travel when you want to pack light.

Rosie for Autograph

I was really keen to try one of M&S’s fragrances and a natural stop was the Rosie Huntington-Whiteley range, Rosie for Autograph. This line I’ve tried a fair few bits from in the past, the makeup from this line is stellar and I’ve often bought them as a gifts for others too. When it comes to fragrances it’s rare that I shop at the lower end of the spectrum, I thought this bottle looked gorgeous and it was well reviewed online so this was an item I picked from the range to try. With notes of Bergamot, Freesia, Coriander, Rose, Vanilla and Amber make for quite a fresh scent that will be perfect coming into spring.

Formula Absolute Skincare

Last but by no means list is two items of skincare from their Formula Absolute range. This Sleep Cream has incredible reviews online and has been on my list to try after hearing it raved about on the full coverage podcast. Coming in a heavy glass pot adored with a metal lid this feels so much like you would expect the likes of really high end skincare to come in at for quality. This got a little squeal from me when I saw it, it’s already on my bedside table and being put to the test already.

Last but by no means least is this face polish. I’ve moved away from more exfoliating scrubs this year but this one had me intrigued. 1) It’s thermal and I’m sucker for a good warming face product for making me feel pampered. 2) It has Hyaluronic Acid which is an ingredient that really works well for my skin and 3) I have some dry flaky skin from healing breakouts which need all the help in buffing away as my current methods aren’t getting rid of it very well. I really liked the idea of mixing chemical and manual scrub at the same tie and it should be nice and moisturising at the same.

So that’s my very exciting delivery that cheered up my week last week. I’ve already been putting a few items to the test, but if there’s anything that you want to hear reviews on first, please let me know! The M&S line is cruelty free and I believe it is all (if not most) also vegan. You can find the whole line of M&S’s own brand and all other lines they stock online here.

I’ve never tried M&S products, mainly because I am new to the shop as I’ve only recently arrived in London but I’ll totally give them a try!

I’ve never even considered trying out M&S products, I usually just have a quick browse of their coats or jumpers and i haven’t quite ventured far enough into the store to reach the makeup section. I might have to head there next time in the shop and have a look at the products you mentioned, particularly the face polish!

I love M&S products, their Christmas Advent Calendar always gives me the perfect chance to try out a range of their products! X

I got their Christmas Advent Calendar and it made me realise how many products and brands they stock, before I would have never even considered them!

I wasn’t aware M&S had makeup. At least the stores here didn’t carry it.

I’m still annoyed that while I can order off M&S, they do not allow makeup to be shipped to Canada. I would buy the heck out of their makeup range… instead, I just keep buying socks. 😆
I really like the eye shadow quads!
The Rosie perfume looks so pretty… the notes sounds lovely too.
    Enjoy your M&S goodies! 😍
