Black Friday Beauty Bay Haul

Whoops, my finger slipped – in the week running up to Black Friday I was on Beauty Bay quite a lot looking at their deals, I feel like they were on one of the few online retailers this year that actually had a decent, genuine sale – which it became no surprise that the site ending up selling out and basically being offline for two days on Wednesday and Thursday whilst they restocked for Black Friday. By that point I was all shopped out and the deals were no different to what they’d been earlier in the week.

Zoeva Plasir Palette Trio (Buy Here)

I picked out the Caramel Melange palette as a Secret Santa gift for a friend (more on that later), and I’d planned to get the Cocoa Blend palette after that same friend had told me it was probably her all time favourite palette.

Buying this set meant that I could buy her the palette for her secret santa, get my Cocoa Blend and get another palette for an extra £1. I’d planned on waiting til after Christmas to get the Cocoa Blend (or probably as my family would have preferred to put it on my Christmas list!). The third palette, Blanc Fusion, I’m not sure whether I’ll keep yet or whether I might put it in a giveaway as I’m planning a special one for my 1000th post. There’s some shades in there that I feel are dupes, but there are some real standouts, I guess I’ll see how life changing the Cocoa Blend palette is and whether I need to keep it.

Zoeva Travel Mirror (Buy Here)

I said in my first Black Friday roundup post that I bought it and I’m really glad that I did. I’ve been known to take my full blown light up vanity with me to nights away to hotels if having somewhere to sit and get ready is an unknown. If I’m curling my hair which takes 40 minutes or so I need somewhere to sit, if I’m sitting to do my makeup properly I need everything spread out around me and a mirror close to my face. I already took it away for my works Christmas party where I stayed over and I was really glad I had it, whilst there was a table to get ready, the mirror was ages away and this meant I didn’t have to hold up a mirror from a palette to get ready. It’s a little smaller than I thought it was going to be, but it still offers a really decent mirror size, and bigger than you’d get in a palette. This will definitely become a holiday staple for me.

Spectrum Collection Mini Fan Brush  (Buy Here)

I’ve always wanted to try Spectrum brushes – particularly their kits, but when I already have as many brushes as I do it feels hard to justify getting a whole new set. But when I saw that the brushes were half price, making this just £2.50 I had to give one a go. I only have one other fan brush and it’s not great at picking up product.

Jouer Long-Wear Lip Crème Matte (Buy Here)

For a long time I’ve heard Jouer raved about but I’ve never tried one. There’s one particular shade ‘Cassis’ which always stands out to me when I look at the line so I had to pick one up while I could snag one at almost a fiver off. I’ve worn this a few times before and I absolutely love the colour and find it pretty long wearing and lasting. You’ll have to wait and see how it stacks up against others once my liquid lips comparison post is live (I’ve been trying and retrying formulas since August, I hope you appreciate the effort, I think I have over 30 formulas!).

Jeffree Star Androgyny Palette  (Buy Here)

I already declared that I’d bought this in my BB Black Friday haul round up, the Beauty Killer palette I was gifted last year has been a huge favourite of mine all year, so much so I’ve hit pan on two of the shades (they’re huge pans so will probably last me another 4 years at this rate!) – but a few of the shades in the palette aren’t ‘everyday’ for me, as much as I enjoy the neon pinks naturally day to day they don’t get used.

This is a more wearable toned palette, but it’s not a neutral palette, with greens, reds, and deep teals and blues – I was completely drawn to this palette. As soon as I was done taking pictures for this I started swatching it! I had to wait 6 days between it’s arrival and me being able to take photos for it. It’s as good as the first and I think I’ll get a lot of use from it.

Let me know what you’re most interested in seeing reviews of first, I’ve had a lot of new in goodies lately – also let me know if there’s anything here you’ve tried in the past!

All of these items look fab! The Zoeva Cocoa Blend palette is so pretty, hope you rave about it as much as everyone else seems too. The lip colour looks like such a nice mauvey-pink. The Jeffree Star palette is bold and bright but all kinds of fun. The mini brush is adorable! x

You got some good deals! I’ve been wanting to check out the Zoeva palettes for aaages now and you might have pulled me over the edge with this post, hahaha. The travel mirror looks great too, but I wonder if you’re supposed to set it on the table or hold it up while you do your makeup? Seems a bit too small to put on the table, but holding it up will get tons of fingerprints on the mirror?

It has a fold back prop to place on the table. It’s actually an Okay size (I used it for the first time on Friday as I was staying over at a hotel) – and it’s an okay size to work with for what it is.
Yes I’m finally glad to have a palette to try!

I felt that Beauty Bay had better discounts last year… but again, us Canadians only get a limited view of all the brands they offer!
Sooooo envious of that Zoeva palette trio!!!
You’re celebrating your 1000th post coming up! 😮

Yep! I’m at post 973 – god knows how many words that is but by early January I’ll have hit the big 1000!

I felt like the sale was better this year – but only on Monday/Tuesday, everything was discounted on site but once their limited quantity was gone, that was it – the deals on Friday were kinda lame in comparison!
