I’ve wanted to try the Origins Flower Fusions sheet masks since they launched some time near the start of the year but with a pile of masks to get through the size of Everest, I put myself on a self inflicted ban of buying any sheet or full size masks until my collection had got seriously depleted. But when I was set a challenge to go beauty shopping with a girls night theme of course a mask had to be on the cards to get, and the Origins Flower Fusions Raspberry Sheet Mask sprung straight to mind to treat myself with the gift card.
The Flower fusions line is beautifully packaged, all in bright abstract flower patterns that meant that it didn’t end up staying in my collection for very long. I’ve been trying to finish up several ‘proper’ masks… my proper I mean masks in a pot/jar, and I’ve not been reaching for sheet masks as much over the past month or so.
The version of the Flower Fusion I picked up was their Raspberry one which is their Refreshing one, I must admit when picking a variety I thought most of the descriptions for what each one targeted all sounded roughly similar, the others in the line are Jasmine (softening), Violet (nourishing), Lavender (soothing), Rose (hydrating) and Orange Flower (radiance boosting). As someone whose oily/blemish prone it was a bit annoying to see that there were so many masks targeted to very similar concerns, I would have been tempted to pick the soothing one had it not have been for my allergy to lavender, but Raspberry is always a favourite when it comes to flavour so it was one I ended up being naturally drawn to.
The Raspberry mask described itself as having a bright, fruity fragrance – personally I think the scent of the sheet mask was pretty subtle and I think had I of not read that prior to applying, that I wouldn’t have even realised it had a scent it was that subtle. Raspberry is a pretty subtle scent so I’m not really surprised that it didn’t smell of too much.
The mask itself is a thick, lovely tissue mask and it was completely sodden in serum. The sheet itself was well proportioned and had a decent fit for my face, some sheet masks I can find completely uncomfortable or they almost slide off like a gooey snail, but this one stayed put with resistance and felt comfortable to keep on. The mask instructed to leave on for 10 minutes, I think I ended up leaving it on for closer to twenty as I like to leave mine on until the mask starts to feel like it’s drying out.
With the excess serum left I massaged it in which had a slightly sticky residue for around five minutes. After that had sank in and was absorbed my skin I could feel just how lovely and soft my skin felt which lasted into the next day when I applied my makeup I noticed that my base went on very smoothly and blended well.
At £4.50 I think these are pretty reasonably priced for a sheet mask from Origins, anything over £5 is tough for me to stomach for a single use mask but considering they’re a higher end brand I don’t think £4.50 is unreasonable. I’m not 100% sure I’d try a mask again though, just because the range isn’t really targeted towards my skin’s main concerns, however if they build on the range for oilier skins I’ll happily be back to do some investigation. If you have more normal-dry skin type and love a sheet mask, this is a line worth taking a look into.

I have tried this mask before and it was a complete nightmare! I got the worst allergic reaction to it. My face was burning and looked like a tomato.
Oh no! luckily I’ve never had a reaction to a sheet mask!

I tried a few Origins masks and I liked 2 out of the 4 I think. I wouldn’t say they’re my favourite ever ones but they did the job x
I’ve not seen the Origins masks around here but the price seems fair and sounds like it’s a decent mask.

They have these in the cosmetic company discount shop so I might pick one up – I agree that £4.50 isn’t too bad for a higher end mask! .xo
