Look Incredible June 2017 – Review and Unboxing

Not going to lie, when I spotted that my Look Incredible order had been shipped after a quick glance over my emails whilst on the sunlounger, I did end up going onto instagram and peeking at this months contents! Arriving at work I had a barrage of Beauty Boxes and PR gifts waiting for me, and being at work 20 minutes early meant I could open them all up and not have them sitting next to me haunting me throughout the day!

First up I pulled out the Stila Major Major Lash Mascara (RRP £15.00), I’ve not heard of this mascara before and nor have I tried any mascaras from Stila so I’m hoping that this comes with a status as favourited as their liners. I have lash extensions on currently, and a few mascaras that I’m trying to finish up so it might be a while before I get around to trying this out.

Next up was an Essie polish, which I think is a first for Look Incredible. Funnily the shade Avenue Maintain (£7.99 RRP), looks almost identical to one I’m wearing by another brand. It’s a gorgeous bright pool blue, perfect for the UK’s super hot weather and is keeping me feeling like I’m still in holiday mode for a little longer! I’d not heard of this shade before, and it seems like it may be from a 2013 collection, I can’t seem to find it in stock in places like Boots and Superdrug so it seems as if it might have been limited edtion, or has since been discontinued.

Next up was a Kiss Proof Creme from Bellapierre (£20.00 RRP), I’ve not tried much from Bellapierre, most items I’ve had in the past have been their loose powders and eye-shadows which they are more well known for. The shade incognito is a gorgeous peachy rose shade that is completely up my alley, I watched this on my hand and was immediately overwhelmed by the scent of strawberries! Makes a change from the normal vanilla lip products.

Next up was from ROC, and their Apres Soleil (£7.99 RRP), wish this had arrived in last months box so I didn’t have to buy a After sun for our honeymoon, It was the only thing I did have to buy, SPFs from boxes had us covered! If this weather continues though we will be needing the aftersun even in the UK, this is described as fragrance free soothing and repairing balm. I normally prefer gels in after sun form as I find them more soothing on hot skin, but I’m sure this will still do the job!

Last up, arguably this month’s star of the show is the Coastal Scents Sleek Silhoutte Palette (RRP £22.00). Whilst I like the look of this palette, I don’t think the shades in it are really my bag. The palette features 3 blush shades (all pink tones), 3 Highlights (2 shimmer, one matte), and 3 bronzers (2 matte one shimmer). The blushes aren’t really my shades, I love peach tones on my skin tone, whilst theres a one of the highlights and bronzers I think I’ll like it seems a bit of a waste to keep the whole palette for two shades, so instead I’m going to pop this in my giveaway pile instead. I’m planning on doing quite a big one soon as my pile is getting a bit out of control at this side as I’ve not had time to set one up, so keep your eyes peeled if you’re interested in winning yourself this!

Initially I was a little meh about the box, but now I’ve looked over the contents again there’s not anything in here I don’t like the look of, even though I won’t be keeping the palette – I’m still happy about it’s inclusion! I think this was a really nice, well rounded edit this month.

What do you think of this months edition?

So many great things in this box! I’m always in awe how many usable items are in these boxes.
That Coastal Scents palette looks really pretty but I understand the shades might not be your liking – the blushes would work on darker skin tones, I think.
I hope you’ll like the other items!

I think it would be a great palette on darker skins too, the darker highlighters scream out for someone whose darker to me.
Everything else looks right up my street, the aftersun is already being put to good use!
