Love Me Beauty June 2017 Review

As soon as I saw the tease for June’s Love Me Beauty, I knew it was going to be enough to keep me subscribed for another month (a downwards spiral where I’m now three deep into a “one-off” resubscribe). This month’s edition was half way stuffed in my door, half out, where the postman either couldn’t get it in after three weeks of mail being backed up the other side, or I think more likely, the items inside were deceptively bulky, so pulling it out of the letter box from the front actually tore the outer bag as it was thoroughly wedged in!

The accompanying bag this month is my favourite out of the ones I’ve had since I’ve resubscribed, this time the canvas zipped pouch is adorned with an eyelash and heart print that repeats all over, the only complaint I have is most of these bags have been mostly white, whilst it looks aesthetically lovely, white is never a colour that’s friendly around cosmetics, especially in a non wipe clean fabric!

When it arrived, whilst I remembered I was excited, I failed to actually remember what it was I ordered almost three weeks prior to me opening it up, so it was a nice little surprise when I opened it up to see what was inside. If you’re unaware of how Love Me Beauty works, you have 60 credits each month to spend on products from their boutique, now-a-days it seems like most of the products are sample or deluxe sample size, although it was a time where full sizes frequented the box but that doesn’t seem to be the case any more. I had an extra 30 credits this month to use as an apology for a mess up last month, so if you’re thinking of subscribing bare that in mind.

First up is the Perricone MD Blue Plasma Cleansing Treatment (25 Credits), this is such an iconic product which I have seen feature a few times in the past whilst I haven’t been subscribed. I’ve always been intrigued by the brand, so it was natural to pick up this up. This is essentially a fancy Micellar water removes impurities from the skin, without stripping the skin of it’s natural healthy oils. The full size of this is double the size at £36, which makes this 56ml sample (in a lovely glass bottle, I should add), a rather pricey bottle!

Whilst I’ve seen the Blue Plasma treatment feature once or twice in the past, I think this may be the first time that the Face Finishing Moisturizer Tint (30 Credits), also from Perricone MD has appeared. This is another product with a premium pricetag, again in rather luxe glass jar, this seemed to have a bit mixed reviews online when I looked it up before ordering, as I’d never heard anything about it before, but I decided it was worth a gamble of credits to see what it was like. This seems to be an tinted edition of their facial moisturiser, looking at it, it looks yellow so I’m not sure how well it’s going sit, but it’s worth ago. Another half size, the full size of this is a whopping £59, so £30 worth of moisturiser right there.

Caudalie is a brand which seems to feature a lot in Love Me Beauty, I often pick up a mini of their hand creams, but beyond that there’s little I’ve ventured into. This is their VinoPerfect Concentrated Brightening Essence. Essences are something I’ve only just discovered the existence of this year, thanks to one from the brand Fresh in another box. This is a third of the size of the full size which is £28.50, so another generous sized sample with a decent value to try.

Lastly, one that I’ve been trying to get my hands on for a while, a miniature of the Kat Von D Liquid lips in the shade outlast (15 Credits). I only have one other red liquid lipstick, I’m not a big red wearer, but the Kat Von D liquid lipstick is one of  my favourites so having a little sized mini of one of my favourite formulas is not something to pass through my hands! I’m not sure of the size of this, but it looks slightly under a half size.

So that’s it for this edition, I think this might be my favourite edition of Love Me Beauty since I resubscribed. If you’re thinking of subscribing and are tempted by my choices, I checked as I was writing this and all the items were still available – The price of the box is £12.99 including postage for 60 credits. If you’d like to see my past LMB reviews you can click here, If you’d like to subscribe you can use the code RACHA549 which will give you 30 extra credits after you’ve made your first order to use as you like with future orders, if you wish to let these extra credits roll over then you can do.

What do you think of my picks this month? Whilst I feel like this is Love Me Beauty at it’s best, I think I may unsub myself for next month, I have so much new coming in and because I’ve been out of the loop for so long I feel really behind with trialling things, and need a good month to get back on track!

Oh the bag and Kat Von D lipstick are to die for!! Think this will be another ‘one-off’ for me too 🙄😂 What would you personally say is better, Love Me Beauty or My Little Box? xx

I’m planning on unsubbing from my Little Box! I think love me beauty offers better value for money if you’re only interested in beauty – my My Little Box will be up tomorrow! xx

Oh amazing! Thank you! In all honestly, I would much rather a box which is just makeup, but have had no luck so far! xx

Have you seen look incredible? A bit pricier, but about 80% makeup 20% skincare – all full sizes… review on that up on Saturday haha (so many boxes waiting for me when I got home!)

I subscribed last month and was happy with my first box so hoping it carries on! Thank you though! I also have birch box which I have mixed feelings on, and subscribed to beauty pie which is amazing!!

I tried beauty pie as I had a free month but don’t feel like I can justify the cost on an ongoing basis for products I can’t test the shades of swatch in person!
I’ve had an on and off relationship with Birchbox, I feel like for the size of samples you get it’s pretty pricey compared to other subscriptions!

Very true! and I am considering leaving birchbox, and trying something else instead for the same reason!

I love the bags! The one I have is the one that says “life’s short, buy the palette” and I think it’s brill! I got the liquid lip in a bag myself and the colours gorgeous but the formula doesn’t last that well on me 🙁 xxx

Ahh man, I have Lolita and it wears all day for me! Hoping that it’s not a mixture of performance depending on the formula!
Ahh yes I remember that one, too true – although not a great mantra as I have about 6 on my list at the moment! haha xx

This seems like a great little collection of products! I would love to try all of these, and I am shocked that I somehow haven’t tried out any Perricone product, especially with how much I love skincare. That Kat Von D shade is gorgeous too!
