Top 5 LUSH Products That Aren’t For The Bath // Guest Post by Sophie In Wonderland

Hello Helpless followers, I’m Sophie from Sophie in Wonderland xo! Thank you to the lovely Rachael for letting me guest post on her blog whilst she is sunning it up on her honeymoon! I know that Rachael isn’t the biggest LUSH fan as she hates baths, so I wanted to write a post of the Top 5 LUSH Products That Aren’t For The Bath to try and convince her to love some herself!

So here is a round up of my favourite products from LUSH that aren’t bath bombs, bubble bars or oils.

For those of you that aren’t aware LUSH is a brand that creates natural and cruelty free products covering all aspects of beauty – skincare, hair care, shower and bath, perfume, makeup and hand and foot care.

First up is skin care and my favourite Tea Tree Toner. The LUSH website describes this as:

Tea tree is antibacterial, antifungal and antimicrobial, so can help keep away the bacteria that can cause spots. Grapefruit is rich in vitamins and is also lightly astringent on the skin, whilst juniperberry is antiseptic and helps keep skin clean and clear. Use any time of day to keep skin refreshed, or to remove traces of makeup or cleanser.

I spritz this all over my  face after cleansing and before moisturising. It’s a super refreshing feeling and the spray feels so lovely on the skin. This has seriously helped with my oily skin and it has done such a good job at keeping spots at bay.

This is only £4.95 for 100ml so it’s a really affordable product and not much if you wanted to give it a go. I would definitely recommend it if you have oily or spot prone skin!

Next is one I know Rachael will love – the Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter. This works wonders on cuticles in just one night. I keep it on my bedside table and apply it before bed and wake up to nicely moisturised cuticles. You need to apply it frequently to maintain the benefits but it will work overnight or if you need a quick fix.

The butter is thick but softens so easily on application so a little bit goes a long way! You can see my tub is well loved but I have had this since Christmas and I still have loads left. This is £6.95 for 50g but it will last you a long time so it’s worth the investment!

Another product that I cannot live without is the Lip Scrub. They have so many flavours that remain permanent to the range including Popcorn, Bubblegum, Mint Julip and Honey, plus they always bring out seasonal flavours such as this Sugar Plum Fairy at Christmas which tastes like the Comforter, it’s so good.

They are made out of fresh ingredients and LUSH confirmed to me that you can in fact lick the excess off so that’s a bonus, especially when they taste as good as they smell! I use this every morning to soften any dry bits and they work wonders in prepping your lips for matte lipsticks. These are £5.75 each and worth every penny in my opinion.

A firm favourite shower gel from their permanent collection is the Comforter Shower Cream. This smells like divine blackcurrant sweets and I love it. The colour is a beautiful deep pink and it makes the shower feel so luxurious. The 100g pictured is £4.95 which I know a lot say is expensive but when you compare to even some drugstore shower gels is a good price for a shower gel made only with natural ingredients.

Lush The Comforter

Lastly, in skin care, is the Mask of Magnaminty. This is a self preserving product so it lasts for a long time. The LUSH website

This mask is made with peppermint oil to stimulate, marigold oil and chlorophyllin to treat the skin; evening primrose seeds and aduki beans to gently exfoliate as you wash it away. There’s mineral rich kaolin to nourish, honey for its antibacterial properties, and we used just the right amount of peppermint oil to stimulate blood cells under the surface of your skin and leave your skin looking bright and refreshed.

The peppermint smell is super refreshing and when you rub it off it exfoliates the skin lightly and not too harshly. It’s the ultimate pamper night companion and it really helps with blemishes and keeping the skin clear.

A 125g pot is £6.50 so its on par with the rest of the blemish clearing masks from the drugstore, but made with all natural ingredients.

So those are my Top 5 LUSH Products That Aren’t For The Bath! There are so many other products I love but if I had to narrow it down to ones I couldn’t live without these would definitely be it!

Thank you to Rachael for letting me guest post on her blog! I hope you all enjoyed this post. Have you tried any of these products? What are your favourite products from LUSH? Let me know in the comments!

Lemon Flutter contains so much product – it takes YEARS to finish that up! It’s great value though.
I really like the LUSH Mint Julips lip scrub – smells like a mojito!
I just recently discovered something from LUSH that I think is now my most favourite thing from them – the BIG shampoo. It is OMG level of hair cleansing – doesn’t dry out my hair but gives it so much volume. I LOVE IT!
