One of my favourite shops locally is my W7 Outlet store, in addition to W7 brands it stocks a variety of beauty brands (mainly drugstore) and I love having a spare 15 minutes to kill having a look through their aisles at what’s new and arrived in. I scored some extra good deals and they had some new brands in stock.
Stila Magnificent Metals in Kitten – RRP £30 – Bought £10
I’ve been loving my new style one of these (review posted here), and I remembered that they at one point had the old style ones where you have to mix up the product on a tray. I’m glad I went back not only was this marked as £18 but went through the till at £10, but this was in their classic Kitten shade – and it was the last one of it. I really like this actually, I’ve only used it once so far and they’re not an identical product but I can see why they’re being discontinued as the mixing is a total faff, but it gives a more foily effect. I actually picked this up a few weeks ago when I did the Body Shop Outlet haul.
I decided to take myself out last Saturday, I’d had my hair trial in the morning, and was awaiting to go and try my wedding dress on at 4pm, waiting for my sister in law to be to finish work. I decided to enjoy some peace and quiet, in the luxury of my own company for the last time in the next few manic weeks and stopped into my local outlet place as I had about 3 hours to kill. The whole place is a little mediocre, with the exception of The Body Shop and W7 Outlet shops, but the garden centre has comfy chairs and a divine lunch menu with sofas which is where I chose to spend an hour with a giant pot of tea for two (I knew I was camping out for a while), and then did a little wandering afterwards in search for a hair mask as I’ve ran out!
Tigi Catwalk Honey and Oatmeal Mask – RRP £14.99 – Bought £9.99
This tub is gigantic! At 580g this should last me a long time, but equally I can see myself running through this so quickly. The Tigi Honey and Oatmeal range is my favorite scented hair mask range out of anything that I’ve tried in the past, but I’ve never had the mask before to try so I’m excited to have it. It’s about a third bigger than my Vatika hair masks which are already in a sizeable pot.
Covergirl Tru Blend Foundation – Bought £5.99
This was one of the new brands in there, yep you read that right covergirl. The range in there was pretty minimal. I think there was two different foundations in two different shades – as well as a bunch of nail polishes. I decided to give this foundation a try, I’m not sure whether I’ve heard anything about it in the past and they had no testers out to see if this was the right shade, so we’re just keeping our fingers crossed on this one
Covergirl Nail Lacquer in Bronzed Beauty – Bought £1.99
They had about 6 or 7 different shades of polishes but this was the only one that I liked the look of. Whilst it’s called Bronzed Beauty, it’s more of a rose gold champagne to me, somewhere between a glitter and a shimmer. I’ve heard good things about the Outlast line from Covergirl from Stashy, so I’m hoping that their regular line lives up to expectations as well. The shade Stashy had actually looks a little similar to this one, but hers is a little pinkier!
Wet N Wild Juicy Lip Balm – £1.99
Yep another exciting addition! Wet N WIld, who’d have thunk it?! They had a much bigger range of W&W items compared to covergirl, however I struggled to pick things I thought was unique. I spotted a watermelon lip balm and it went in my basket, Watermelon is one of my favourite fruits and flavours. It also contains SPF 1 which I thought would be great for honeymoon and trekking through Ubud.
Wet N Wild ColorIcon Petal Pusher Palette – £1.99 Each
Wet and Wild was on three for two and naturally that wasn’t a deal I could pass up. I decided to get one of their Colour Icon palettes. I actually already have one of these and really love it, so I’m hoping this will be as good as that one. With a mix of pink and periwinkle shades I thought this looked really pretty. I couldn’t decide on a third item, they had some other shades in these, but they weren’t ones I would use, so I decided to get a second one for when I review it to give away (hopefully I like it more than the last time I did this haha!)
That was it for my impromtu little shopping trip! Have you tried any of these before?
