F.U.N Lacquer Blessing – Swatch and Review

F.U.N Lacquer Blessing

No, your eyes do not deceive you, I am infact reviewing a polish two weeks in a row. I’m going to really make an effort to carry on doing this over the coming months, especially as I’ve bought so many polishes since the beginning of the year. So let’s take a look at this beautiful one – F.U.N Lacquer Blessing.

F.U.N Lacquer is probably the Indie brand that I’ve eyed the most over the years, and when I placed my first Indie polish haul earlier in the year I bought three of the polishes in different finishes to try out, Blessing is the second that I’ve tried, although I  never got around to reviewing the first yet – and it’s had me really impressed.

I bought this as online it looked like a gorgeous teal and purple multichrome, which matched my wedding theme. When it arrived I noted that the teal was more green, but never-the-less the polish was still gorgeous and that didn’t stop me wearing it. In the bottle this looks a bit boring to be honest the square shaped glass does not help accentuate the beautiful effect this has on a curvature of a nail, an OPI shaped bottle would show this off in it’s full glory!

Depending on the light you catch your nails in affects the effect which it has. In bright sunlight the multichrome is virtually unnoticeable, instead it’s a bright flash of glowing emerald green that looks stunning. But catch this in shade/evening/not bright sunshine and it’s even more staggeringly pretty, with every slight shift in movement this changes from deep navy purple, into a brighter violet purple into a gorgeous forest green.

I had worries that this was going to be horrible to apply. The first coat of this goes very sheer, verging on patchy and streaky looking – but a second coat applies much better, and this is shown with just two coats. This is yet another polish which has a gorgeous finish without a topcoat, although without one it has an average wear time of 3 days, I’ve found re-wearing with with a topcoat improves performance significantly.

You may notice an accent glitter nail on my ring finger, that’s a polish which has just arrived called Digital Dreams from the Sinful Colors Kandee Johnson collection, which is a opalescent multi-dimensional glitter, this will look great over most polishes, but particularly over ones which are a little darker.. I had to eBay order this from the US since we no longer get the Sinful Colors line here, It cost me around $11 with shipping (I think it retails at $2.99), so the markup wasn’t too horrendous, and it was worth every penny, or should that be dime?

I’m seriously impressed with this polish and I’m looking forward to trying the third F.U.N lacquer one I picked up. I’m defintiely planning on getting more of these multichrome polishes from them in future. I love the effect on the nails!

Have you tried F.U.N Lacquer Polishes?

Oooh, LOVE this shade! It’s what every duochrome nail polish should look like. I can imagine it would look awesome if a nail artist used it to do some mermaid scale nail art or something.

The shift is so strong on this! And it’s much more opaque than I’d though it would be.
The addition of the shimmer topper makes this look like a mermaid’s tail!
Never tried F.U.N Lacquer Polishes but I’ll be on the look out now!

The two I’ve tried from FUN so far have been the nicest out of the Indie brands I’ve tried! I love the opalescent glitter topper on that, I’m glad I made the eBay purchase for it, think it’s going to look really pretty over most polishes!

This looks so pretty, I love a good duochrome and this has such great colours in it. I’ve never heard of the make before, or I don’t remember it, but I’ll definitely consider them next time I want a new nail varnish.

I can’t get over how amazing your nails look! The effect on that polish is amazing! I want it!!

Definitely a fun shade! Hope I manage to snag one of these in a future Ipsy bag. They don’t give me polish too often, and yet some other non-polish people seem to complain they get polish all the damn time!

I’ve only tried a couple of FUN Lacquer’s holos before, it looks like they’ve nailed multichromes! I love how you captured the shift, I imagine if it shows up that well on camera that it is even more beautiful in person :]

These kind of polishes are my favourite, I LOVE duochrome! 😍 I saw a sinful colours stand in Superdrug when I was in Birmingham at the weekend! I thought it had been discontinued here too! xxx

Ahh I thought it had completely gone now, they were in boots, then my superdrug had the Kylie line and some small collections and then it disappeared, I couldn’t find this collection anywhere in the U.K. so has to eBay it!

I don’t think I ever saw it in the UK either!
