Boots Haul – February 2017

When Boots emailed me to tell me that I qualified for double points throughout February because it was my birthday, that was enough to get me in the door within the hour. I had a few things in mind that I needed to pick up and some more wedding related purchases (I hope to stop saying that soon!).

The Wet Brush Pro – Pink ‘Wet’ Edition

boots-haul-february-2017-9 boots-haul-february-2017-10

I had decided that I needed to get a new hair brush, my wet brushes whilst amazing are almost two years old and after two years of pulling at my tangly tresses they’ve unsurprisingly given up and one’s gone missing. When I went in and looked at the Wet Brushes I noticed these special edition ones that looked like they were covered in water droplets (like the MAC Alluring Aquatics collection – my favourite one ever!) and I picked up the pink one. I’m so glad I did I’ve been using this for about a week now and it’s official, my old ones were definitely knackered.

The Wet Brush Pop Fold – Foldable Brush

I spotted this as I turned round to see these hanging on the end of the aisle – they were reduced from £12.99 to £3.50 (and actually when I looked at my receipt it went through at £1.50!). A full size foldable hairbrush that I thought would be handy for travel. I’m actually going back to see if they have any left because if so I’m buying a backup!

Lee Stafford CocoLoco Genius Lotion

boots-haul-february-2017-7

I’ve been trying to hold off repurchasing this after I finished it up at the end of November. The Genius Lotion was definitely one of my favourite discoveries of 2016 and this is now my third tube. Other things are similar on the label, but none work as well as this for me. When I spotted it was a third off, I swiped one up.

Lee Stafford CocoLoco Dry Shampoo

boots-haul-february-2017-2

Again this was a third off which tempted me to try it, I’ve tried the dry shampoo from the normal Lee Stafford Line, but I’ve not tried the CocoLoco version before. The regular version wasn’t my favourite, but I really like the CocoLoco line in general so have higher hopes with this one.

Batiste 2 in 1 Invisible Dry Shampoo & Conditioner

boots-haul-february-2017-3

I do not like Batiste Dry Shampoos, but when I spotted this new one from them, that promised to also be invisible I decided I needed to try it, the fact it’s also described as a conditioner is extra interesting to me. There was three scents available in this new line, I opted for Cocoa and Cashmere.

Boots Ingredients Sheet Mask – Tiger Lily & Lotus Flower

boots-haul-february-2017-8

I’ve heard good things about these new sheet masks from Boots so decided to give one a try. They’re made in Korea as well which made me curious to see how they performed. I’m about to put this on as I’m writing this and I plan for it to be a Face Mask Friday post this week, so keep your eyes peeled!

Makeup Obsession 6 Pan Palette, 2 Highlighters & Strobe Cream

boots-haul-february-2017-5

I picked up a highlighter from Makeup Obsession whilst we were Christmas Shopping and have been using it a hell of a lot. My Boots closest to work has now got the ‘Boots Emporium’ in there and now has the makeup obssesion line. Whilst the shadows seem great quality, there’s not much within the line that I’m particularly interested in, but the highlighters are great as they have ones with coloured hues (there’s a lilac one which is out of stock every bloody time I’ve been at a Makeup Obsession stand!). I picked up the shades lightening (the Marble one), Pop (which has a icy green hue) & Precious (Strobe Cream with an icy blue tone).

The next items are the wedding related ones, I’ve been to a few weddings over the past few years where there’s been a basket of cosmetics in the bathroom for guests to use and touch up, I’ve found them really handy in the past so decided I wanted to do the same. I may do a full post on this once I’ve got all the bits (and feel free to tell me ideas of what you think might be handy cause I may of missed some things off my already giant list!).

I need to get myself one of those Wetbrushes. I have one like it, but it’s a different brand. It works really well, but I just wonder how it would compare to the actual Wetbrush lol. xx

Love your wedding bathroom basket idea! That is genius πŸ˜€

The wedding touch up idea sounds excellent! I’d love to see a post on all the bits you intend to include πŸ™‚ those highlighters are super pretty x

I have a few more bits to get for the box (I’m leaving Ben in charge of the Men’s one!) Will do a post on both of them! The highlighters are really nice so far! x

Love your haul and empties posts. I was also tempted to buy CocoLoco, the lotion was even the half price a few weeks back but as I have quite a lot of stuff that is beginning to cause a storage problem in our little flat, I had to resist😊

    • February 9, 2017 / 10:25 am

Ahh man I would have stocked up if it was half price! Missed that offer! I love the lotion does incredible things for my hair, when you get through a few products try it, it will become space saving as it’s so many products in one heat protector/tamer/conditioning etc xx

I really want to try the Wet Brush (I’ve been a tangle teezer gal for years), and own literally nothing by Make Up Obsession – those highlighters are gorgeous, particularly Lightening. Love a good Boots haul; it’s so easy to get carried away in there isn’t it? You picked up some great goodies!

I’ve got 4 highlighters from Makeup Obsession now, I’m not too fussed by the eyeshadows, they’re lovely but easily dupable with just about everything else in my collection!
Tangle teaser doesn’t cut it for me, the bristles aren’t long enough to rake through my hair and it ends up creating more knots not less!
It is way to easy I was thinking ‘ahh this will be about Β£30’ and when she said ‘that’s Β£54’ I was thinking oh crap underestimated that one ha!

Doing a basket of things in the bathroom for your wedding is such a fab idea! Nothing worse than needing a bobble and no one has one.
I think adding plasters would be good, heels can be ruthless haha πŸ™‚ xx

I didn’t even think of a brush! Great idea x

Awesome haul! Double points is always a good reason to shop. πŸ˜›
I’m using the Lee Stafford CocoLoco Genius Lotion today… it’s getting so low. I’ll likely use it up this month!
And ooooh that Makeup Obsession 6 Pan Palette!!! Precious (the icy blue one) looks amazing.
So thoughtful about the toiletries in the bathrooms for your wedding! I hope no one swipes them…

I’ve bought everything on offer / cheap own brand versions of – not necessarily what I’d buy for myself but fine for an emergency situation, I don’t think anyone will knick anything, I’ve spent more on the baskets themselves than I have the items within it so far ha!
Let me know if you need a cocoloco dealer (sounds like drugs).

      • February 9, 2017 / 8:31 pm

Haha my dealer! I will attempt to find something comparable here. If all else fails… πŸ˜‰

I used to work in Boots when I was at school/uni and sitting on the counter all day was torture as I saw all the lovely products I wanted to buy. I’m sure I spent most of my wages before I left the shop each day. I used to absolutely love Lee Stafford products, but I’ve never tried the Coco Loco range. I might have to give it a try.

I also love the idea of having a cosmetic basket at a wedding. My sister has just got engaged so I might need to suggest that to her – I might even organise it myself!

  11. February 9, 2017 / 6:44 pm

That Batiste dry shampoo & conditioner looks interesting. I personally love their dry shampoo. Gonna keep an eye out for this new one to try.

  12. February 10, 2017 / 4:24 am

I so need a wet brush! I get such knotty hair that’s hard to get a brush through. Love your wedding basket idea. Always nice to have it for guests to freshen up x

  13. February 10, 2017 / 8:17 am

Will have to try the Wetbrushes! I have a tangle teazer atm but I can never have enough of brushes that put a stop to the pain of brushing my wavy hair!! Loved the post ☺️😘

    • February 10, 2017 / 9:36 am

I find that the bristles aren’t long enough on Tangle Teezers to get through my hair without separating it into loads of sections. This is now my third one and I don’t see myself buying another brand for a long time!

Can I have it all please! What a great haul post! I am literally going to head to my local boots tomorrow and purchase every item! Those highlighters are gorgeous 😍 And I also love the brush and I dream about having coconut scented hair so the coco loco is on my list for sure!
