I’ve been subbed to Look Incredible for a year now, midway through (ish) they launched a deluxe version of the box which I’ve been really tempted to try all year. I decided to try it this month as I’m planning on doing a round up of my thoughts after a year of being subscribed – so naturally it was for comparative purposes for the blog only of course.
I’ve kept a watchful eye over the subscription since it launched and have always been tempted to try it. The box follows an identical premise to the original – 5 full size products from premium brands. The value is generally a little bit higher, but the price-tag is also a fair chunk more. This box is £34.99 a month including delivery – compared to the normal box which comes in at £21.49 with delivery. The boxes arrived on the same day (what an exciting post day that was!) and after a long day of walking around Birmingham I was happy to arrive home to find that the postie had left them for me to open immediately instead of trekking to the post office to collect like I usually have to. I’d seen a sneak peek of what was inside the box on someone else’s instagram stories and was super excited with one item in particular inside, so I’ll start there first.
Too Faced Soul Mates Bronzing Blush in Carrie & Big – £28
I have wanted one of these for ages and when I saw that this was in the box I did a little happy squeal. I was kind of hoping that it would be the ‘Ross & Rachel’ shade – just for the name, but actually I think the Carrie & Big shade is more my colour. And actually I’m a massive SATC fan so either way I’m happy, If I love this I can see myself getting the Rachel & Ross one at a later date.
LAROC Pro Cheek Stain in Coral Crush – £21
This is another brand which I’m not sure how it made it into the box given we can’t get our hands on LORAC products here. This is a really pretty NARS orgasmesque shade that lies slightly more pink – I have high hopes for this I swatched it on my hands hours ago when I was taking the pictures and it’s still holding on strong. Another very me colour.
Bee good Honey & Wild Mint Cleansing Water – £10
I’m really happy to see Bee Good featured in here, I’ve met the owners at an event before and tried the Bee Good Cream Cleanser in the past and got on really well with it. It’s a brand I’ve been meaning to try more from so Im happy to have this to try. It’s a 3 in 1 Micellar water resigned to remove dirt, hydrate and brighten.
Eucerin Even Brighter Spot Corrector – £14
This is a brand I’ve heard, no little about and not ever tried. This sounds interesting described as both a ‘great makeup base’ and a corrector to even out the pigmentation of spots. Will be putting this to the test on a pemanent spot that I have on my temple that I’m trying to get rid of pre-wedding!
Clinique Lash Powder Feathering Mascara – £18.99
Last but not least is this Clinique mascara, I’ve tried very little from Clinique for some reason it’s a brand which I’m just not drawn to look at. Formulated to add extreme length and separation for a feathery soft look and feel – I’ll be putting this to the test as the next mascara that I try out!
The value of the box this month is worth £91.49. I’m really pleased with every item that’s in this box – especially the Soul Mates Bronzer which I can’t wait to start trying out!
What do you think of this months box?
