Lee Stafford Dry Shampoo Review

Lee Stafford Dry Shampoo

Over the past year I’ve had a real rediscovery of my love of Lee Stafford hair care, you’ll know that already if  you’ve seen any Boots hauls as there’s pretty much been something in just about every haul from them. One product that I’ve never tried is their dry shampoo – something I’m always searching for the ‘perfect’ one that does everything I needed, so I decided to give the Lee Stafford Dry Shampoo a try.

I have a long standing love for the Aussie dry shampoo, I’m constantly on the search for one that can beat it, and as of yet I haven’t managed to. The bottle of this is in their iconic bright pink can – which once upon a time would have meant it was easy to find in my drawer however I now have so much stuff from the line anything that’s not bright pink is often easier to spot!

I’m pleased to say that it does have the distinctive ‘classic’ Lee Stafford smell. I did wonder whether it would translate to a more powdery based product. It’s not as strongly scented as I’d like – for example if I compare this against Colab’s line – it’s not as strongly scented, but it does enough to leave a pleasant waft of scent in the air and add a fresher smell.

Unlike my favourite from Aussie which is totally clear – this does have a slight white cast, yet again I’m going to compare this against the Colab sheer invisible line as the formula reminds me of it. The white powdery cast does brush out and leave no trace of it. I find this needs time to work some magic – an instant spray and brush out isn’t good enough, I usually apply this as the first thing I do as I’m getting ready and leave it on for the 20 minutes or so whilst I put on my makeup/pick out what I’m going to wear, then brush it out and style my hair.

It’s not the worst dry shampoo I’ve used, but it isn’t my favourite either. My hair doesn’t look as clean as it does with my trusty Aussie and it probably comes on par with second favourites from Colab. I think if Colab dry shampoos are your favourites then you might really like this as an alternate option. The can size is 200ml so about on par with every other dry shampoo on the market. It’s priced at £4.99 – although is regularly on offer with the whole Lee Stafford range such as 3 for 2s or 2 for £10 (not a great deal in the case of 2 products that are £4.99 – but with a mix and match with more expensive products it’s worth a try).

What are your favourite dry shampoos? Have you tried the Lee Stafford Dry Shampoo?

I’m signing out for the weekend – I’m off to meet the Impractical Jokers. I’ve been waiting for this day longer than I’ve been waiting to get married!

Oh too bad this isn’t the best. Ah well. I’ve mentioned it before but Colabl Extreme Volume is my fav! Rio scent specifically. 🙂 Enjoy meeting the Impractical Jokers!

Love the color of the bottle on this! My personal favorite dry shampoos are by Batiste – I love the Tropical scented one!

I had that same problem at first too, but I found that if I put dry shampoo in before going to bed at night it kind of “absorbs” into my hair and I wake up looking like I just washed it! It also saves me a little bit of time in the morning since I just have to brush through it and I’m done!

Aussie is the best! I have no idea how many cans I’ve been through probably 25 or more I’m guessing!
Extraordinary clay is the only one I tried from L’Oréal and it was absolutely terrible!
