Weekly Roundup #9

Is anyone else freaking out a little bit that there’s just one full week left in November? It’s been super busy – so much so I’ve had little time to start even thinking about Christmas yet, which is going to mean that December is clearly going to be busy too! Here’s what happened on the blog this week!

This week

Last weekend you might remember I was heading off to hopefully find some Bridesmaid dresses, that trip was a big success and we ended up with too many beautiful choices! If you’re getting married I thoroughly recommend the Dessy line of dresses, there was so many choices of colours and styles. Whilst at the shop the assistant, who served us whilst I was buying my dress, asked me if I wanted to try my dress on again – I wasn’t expecting to do this, and I love it even more than I remember.

My sister and her partner stayed with us for the weekend and we played Cards against humanity for the first time. Thoroughly recommend that game if you’re not easily offended and don’t mind letting the awful part of your personality become unleashed.

This week has been really busy for me at work, and we’ve had several busy weekends, so this weekend we’ve taken Saturday as some much needed downtime. We revisited our wedding venue in the morning to do some measuring up of spaces, and we headed off to watch Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. It was absolutely brilliant – I like that it felt linked to Harry Potter but is a competely different standalone franchise. We’ve got some fancy finest ready meals for dinner as neither of us wanted to cook, and we’re currently watching Ride Along 2 (It’s 5.30pm), we will probably squeeze in another before bedtime.

This weekend we added another 2 films to our goal of 100 by the end of the year, The Danish Girl which we watched at home on Friday – was brilliant, it’s been an Eddie Redmayne filled weekend! He’s an incredible actor and the story was inspiring. We watched a Netflix original movie called True memoir of an international Assassin, which was actually quite good – we knew it was going to go one of two ways as Kevin James films can be a bit… iffy. Worth a watch if you have a Netflix account and you want to watch something light-hearted. We also finally fininshed Prison Break this week, only about 8 years behind schedule.

I watched Fantastic Beasts too and it was entertaining but I absolutely do not like Eddie Redmayne. He’s such a mumbler and creeps me out! 😛 I have a coworker who swoons over him – ick. His character in the movie did not draw me in – actually, I much prefer the 2 minor characters, Jacob and Queenie.

WHAT, disowning you. Definitely do not find him attractive (especially after seeing the Danish Girl, he makes a pretty lady ha), but I think he’s a great actor! Loved him in The Theory of Everything, infact I can’t think of anything I haven’t liked him in!! I found Queenie a bit annoying, but I think you’re meant to find her a bit annoying? I really liked Jacob, he was a perfect fit for that role!

There were a few looks from the palette included in that post and there have been several on my Instagram as I’ve not stopped using it! I’ll take a look 🙂 xxx

I teared up in fantastic beasts near the end! Anything remotely emotional usually gets me! Woo, yep get yourself that palette – I’ve actually moved it this week so it’s not close to me, it’s all I’ve used basically since I got it! x
