At the start of August (that’s how scheduled I managed to be throughout August that I’ve not got near this post until now!) I was tagged my lovely blog buddy Leanne from Oh Simple Thing to do the 7 Deadly Sins of Makeup Tag. I’m going to be quiet this weekend as one of my Best Friends, and my oldest friends is getting married, I’m going to go and enjoy every second of celebrating with her.
Greed – What is your most expensive/inexpensive make-up item?
It’s very rare now-a-days that I spend over £30 on a single makeup product and the most recent one I’ve had is the Violet Voss palette which was around the £35 mark. Saying it’s expensive though is a bit of a lie, I calculated the shadows were just over £1 each, so when you compare that to a single pan from Makeup Geek that’s anywhere from £5.50-£7.95 it’s not so expensive per shadow basis.
Inexpensive, I’ve tried lots of £1 lipsticks from different brands, there’s a multitude to chose from. I do wonder how inexpensive a lot of them are, sometimes I’ve only worn these once or twice where as a liquid lipstick from OFRA I’ll can wear 30 times – so again, how expensive is it per use!
At the moment I would say the Kat Von D Lock It Foundation, I absolutely loved it when I purchased this and even declared it HG status in my review – but in the past few weeks I’m really struggling to get it to blend into my skin it just seems to sit on top with every pore glaring out, I seem to have gone from oily to dry in two weeks. I put it on over the weekend and I couldn’t get it to blend so I had to take it off, it seems like it’s a problem with a good chunk of my foundation collection at the moment which is incredibly annoying.
Gluttony – What brand takes up the most of your make-up collection?
This I struggle with as there’s brands which dominate certain areas, E.g I have a lot of Makeup Revolution palettes, but I have never been near their base products, where as it’s the opposite with Make Up For Ever, where I’m trying a lot of their base product but I’ve not tried anything else.
If I was picking one brand overall which I had the most from across the board I would say MAC, but I wouldn’t say it takes up the most of my collection, except for probably lipsticks.
Sloth – Which product do you neglect due to laziness?
About a year ago it would have been eyebrows. Unless I’m have time to get ready, I often can’t be bothered with concealer if I’m wearing foundation.
Pride – Which product gives you the most self confidence?
Other than my lash extensions which isn’t really a makeup product, I would probably say liquid liner, once I’ve quickly lined my eyes I feel good to go! If I haven’t got my extensions on though I would definitely say mascara, I can’t cope feeling bald.
I am the completely opposite, I generally always go for concealer over foundation hahah! But I can definitely see where the laziness comes from because it’s the exact same with me!!

Occasionally I’ll go the other way round if I’m reallllly short for time or its hot! Xx
I’ve never heard this tag before 🙈 I loved your answers. I also often feel like “omg this product is amazing”, and next week I’d be like “there’s nothing amazing in this product”.
Love your answers
I would choose concealer over foundation but I have to make sure eye make up is done first
This tag is so fun! I loved reading your answers Rachael and I agree, the price of a product doesn’t always affect it’s quality! Your lash extensions look so pretty and fluttery – like butterfly wings! I did this tag back in April if you’re interested in having a read: https://chanellehayleyyy.wordpress.com/2016/04/01/7-deadly-sins-of-beauty-tag/
Really cool tag! and that mac lip product looks stunning!

Have you seen the Kat Von D items in this months Love Me Beauty Boutique? I had to subscribe to try them
I have yes, bright red lipsticks don’t suit me, and I’ve already tried and hated the tattoo liner, tempted to sign up for the lipstick and get some of the omaskarvia skincare too!
I don’t think I’ve ever spent over £10 on a makeup product. There are so many gorgeous palettes though that I may have to untie the purse strings.
Great post, really enjoyed reading it. Made me have a think about my 7 Deadly Makeup Sins
Amy
Work that’s great, I wish I could find a cheap foundation that’s works for me but none ive ever tried have done! I could probably cope with a drugstore version for most other things, I think it’s just foundation where I would struggle!
Love this tag! I’ll have to give it a go soon!
Great post! I should do it sometime, too 🙂
Argh, isn’t it frustrating when foundations go all Jekyll & Hyde?
I also neglect my eyebrows the most, which is terrible since I have, like, no eyebrows.
I think it’s always harder if you have none it means it takes more effort! Mine are big and I only have to do a little filling in so it takes seconds to sort out!
How fun, considering I just did the Seven Deadly Sins as a theme for the #BeautiesOnFire Collab 🙂
Great post!!
Thanks! X
