It was only going to be a matter of time before QVC started tackling the beauty box market, and I for one am quite excited to see what it has to hold. QVC have a host of super popular brands such as Benefit, OPI and Essie, to names which you might not of even heard of before – or ones which are less readily available to actually see in person.
The service is called Tili, it’s not a subscription so you re-buy a box, and can see it’s contents prior to buying, so you know what you’re going to get and whether the box is for you. Tili stands for Try It Love It – and takes some of the difficulty of online and TV shopping . Having worked in TV shopping in the past for a rival channel, I know how hard it can be to try and convey how good a product is without actually seeing it yourself in person. I’m not entirely sure how often the Tili box is going to be coming out, but I imagine it’s maybe less regular than monthly – although I might be wrong.
This box is £20 including P&P, so within the realms of higher end boxes such as my Look Incredible subscription which is about £21 with delivery, with a value of £55, it’s not the best value for money, but if you can see the products, and know that you’re interested in trying what’s available then you can’t beat it either. There’s 8 products in this months box – so lets jump in and show you what’s available.
You may remember me mentioning in my You Beauty post that I wanted to get the Alpha H Liquid Gold but it was out of stock by the time I came to add it to my box. Well guess what here it is. I feel like I’ve been reading about this product for years so I’m excited.
I’ve heard really good things about the Elemis Smart Cleanser Micellar Water through Rihanna from Robowecop and it’s one of the items that tipped me over the edge to try out the box. I’ve really enjoyed any products I’ve tried from Elemis in the past and I’m sure this will be no exception.
Nexxus is a brand that I’ve heard of but not tried or really heard too much about. I’m going to keep their Nutritive Shampoo and Conditioner for my trip to Milan next month as they’re under 100ml so good for travel on and only a few days away!
Thanks to my other subscription boxes, I’ve been trying more and more products from Bareminerals but I’ve been yet to try any of it’s skincare. The Skinlongevity Vital Power Infusion is a serum essence, and has not been on my radar at all, but looking it up it’s the US’s number 1 anti-aging serum, so on that basis it should be pretty good right? Hopefully this can help me wave goodbye to my 26 year old fine lines under my eyes.
Probably the item I’m most excited for, the Becca Backlight Priming Filter. Can we just take a minute to breathe – Ahhhhh. I’ve been dying to try some items from Becca, especially their Base products, I hear nothing but rave reviews about their primers (and highlights of course) so I’m so excited to have this. I didn’t even know QVC did Becca so I’ll be keeping an eye for any TSV’s that may come up featuring some of the items I’d like to try.
Essie Ballet Slippers is probably one of their most classic shades. Whilst I’m not the biggest wearer of this type of nude ‘nothing’ shade it’s still been one that’s been ‘on the list’ to get regardless because of it’s icon status.
I hear amazing things about the Vita Liberata brand and I’m sure their Phenomenal Mousse is fantastic, but deep down I know this will just sit in my cupboard for a while before I use it once and then it’ll be gone off for the next use. I’ve got one bottle already which I received in my Love Me Beauty Box, so I’m going to put this, and the mitt that came with it into my giveaway pile.
Rather than waiting to do full reviews of these I think I might try something different this month and do a ‘stuff I’ve been trying’ post weekly and give a quick low down and first impressions after a week or two of use. I feel so bogged down with beauty reviews and you’ll know that I’ve been wanting to change things up lately so hopefully that will make space for other content, and I can follow up with a more in-depth review on stuff I’ve been using for longer. Let me know what you think of that as an idea!

i can’t wait full reviews. this is exciting
Thanks for a great review. I’ve just ordered a box after reading your post. I can’t wait to try the Alpha H and Becca primer.
They’re the two I’m most excited for too! They arrive really quickly – mine only took 2 days after ordering! Enjoy xx
This is so exciting can’t wait to see the full review
This box is so exciting! I can’t wait for the reviews.

I’ve been meaning to write about this. I got it the day it came! I haven’t tried the contents but I was impressed. And everythings a decent size☺x
Yes, should get a good few months from most of the products here (maybe not the Nexxus or the micellar water!) x
I agree. My Birchbox and Tili boxes arrived the same time abd I know Tili costs more, but it feels less like samples. X
That’s why I only sub to birchbox after seeing what’s in it as a one off when I’ve seen there’s something I like. I think the samples in it are measley, and their high value of contents is usually made up with one overpriced product. That Benefit Air Patrol primer for example in this months was free to order online at Benefit a few months ago!
Yes I only ordered as it was 2 boxes for £10 and I wanted to try the Loc lip pencil. The products are tiny. I especially agree about the Benefit product. It looks good but it’s just a free sample x
This was such a great box – I absolutely love the BECCA primer and the Alpha H liquid gold. Xxx
Really was, a strong start from QVC in the box game! x
Sweet evilness! Rachael, you make me want to spend money that I don’t have >_< Besides the FANTASTIC box, what necklace is that on the background? That looks like a stunner too.
The necklace in the background is from primark, £3 – unfortunately had it for years but it’s still as good as new!
It is fab buy!!! *sigh* I hope they’ll repeat this one.
Fingers crossed!
I didn’t know this existed! I will probably order myself a box tonight!
Treat yourself 😉
What an awesome box! Totally worth the price.
I have Essie Ballet Slippers and if I recall – the formula was pants. It was streaky and too white.
I’m most interested in the Elemis Smart Cleanser Micellar Water and the Becca Backlight Priming Filter!
I haven’t gotten around to trying it out yet, I was going to last night but didn’t find the time – I think I won’t bother tonight now as I’m having a gel mani put on tomorrow night, would be pointless for about 24 hours ha!
They were my two top picks too, I’ve packed the Elemis micellar water for this weekend as I’m away for a wedding and I think the Becca Primer is coming too, I’ve been enjoying using that the few times I’ve tried it!
Thats such a cool box. I really want to order one now!! If you have the time I would be so greatful if you checked out my blog and commented:))
