My Little Box July 2016 – Coconut

Damn you My Little Box, after last months box I was sure that this months was going to be my last, but thanks to July’s delivery I’ve fallen in love with the service all. over. again.

*Deep Sigh*

Something about the styling over the past few months has felt different to the others – it’s gone from feeling a little cutesy to bang on trend and I’m loving the new style boxes. This month celebrates the ever popular summer scent of Coconut – not a scent that I particularly find myself gravitating towards on a regular basis – but that being said it’s not a scent I don’t enjoy either.

The box of course comes with the beautiful illustration print and the My Little World Magazine which is very travel focused this month. I normally throw these away straight away but the additional information inside for the products seems more helpful than it has done in the past so I’ll be having a read of this one this time! Everything that comes inside is beautifully wrapped and packaged this month, everything feels way more tied together and themed than it has done in the past. So round of applause for MLB from me.

I’d already spied on Instagram about a week ago that this month’s box was seeing a collaboration from Stella and Dot which made me immediately excited. Stella & Dot are a brand I’ve admired from afar for years, they’re only just starting to become more readily available in the UK, but feel a little on the pricey side for what’s essentially fashion jewellery – so unless I spotted a piece which I absolutely hands down needed I can’t see myself purchasing a piece. I’m pleased to have this little gold bangle with a dainty chain and coral tassle. I’ve been loving this style of bracelet recently, it’s a little on the small side but I can just squeeze it on!

The next lifestyle item was a Passport cover, featuring the type of tropical print which is just about everywhere at the moment with the quote ‘Let’s Get Lost’ – I get the sentiment, but an odd phrase for a passport cover… lets hope that this doesn’t curse me in a few weeks when I go abroad!

The first of the Beauty items I pulled out this month was the My Little Beauty Brume De Coco Apres Soleil (£10) – I’ve been needing to pick up an after sun for the end of the month and luckily this is within the size I can carry on board! This is a milky coconut scented spritz which I imagine is going to be really moisturising on the skin post sunshine indulgence.

The next item was from a brand we regularly see in My Little Box – Yves Rocher, This is 20ml sample of their Noix de Coco fragrance (£7). A handy travel size and I love the packaging of this too. They describe this on the card as smelling like real not faux Coconut and I’d agree with that too – again I can see this being the product I take away with me.

Next is the Merci Handy Coco Rico Hand Sanitizer (3 Euros) yet another Coconut scented product unsurprisingly by the name! Happy to have this as you can never have too many hand santizers and I’m down to the last two in my stash!

I wasn’t expecting a forth product as there’s normally just three – but there was another nestled within the bag. The Ojon Rare Blend Therapy Oil (£30 for 45ml) is a new 5 in 1 replenishing oil for dry hair. That’s me all over at the moment battling with dryness so I’m excited to have this. It promises to hydrate, smooth ends, soften strands, reduce frizz and boost shine. This oil looks like it would be super pretty in full size with three layered oils in blue clear and yellow which you shake up before use! Think again I’ll keep this aside for holiday!

I’m genuinely looking at everything from this  months box and there’s not one thing that I’m feeling meh about. I’m hoping the box refresh will continue with the themed structure in upcoming months – it feels more cohesive than it has in the past where some products have felt a bit random to the theme – there’s no denying that the coconut theme has been carried throughout this month. Even as a non-coconut lover I’m not disappointed!

If you’re subbed to My Little Box let me know what you thought of this coconut feed! If you’re not subbed and want to see reviews from the very start of their launch in the UK, you can click here and peruse at your pleasure.

My head is just not right atm, I knew I was forgetting something, same as this morning and you know what it was? My shoes. I forgot my shoe. Luckily I was just out of the door haha. But I mean.. c’mon.

Styling of the box looks good and it’s a good mix. Might get the missus a subscription for a birthday gift.

I had to unsubscribe as we went to Singapore and they don’t ship boxes here πŸ™ So gutted as I loved my little box !! I now don’t even receive Facebook updates because I’m not in a country which is serviced by mlb. And this box looks divine. I’ve been using majority of products from mlb and I keep boxes for storage. Missing my little box dearly πŸ™

That S&D bracelet is so precious! I love bangles like that. They’re nice on their own but also fun to stack.
I have that Yves Rocher Noix de Coco perfume and I like it for a light true coconut scent – I especially like mixing it with a pure vanilla scent!
Nothing like a good box to make you change your mind about cancelling it… then next month will be pants and you’ll threaten to cancel it… and the cycle goes on and on. πŸ˜‰
