Nuxe Prodigeiux Shower Oil Review

Nuxe Prodigeiux Shower Oil

Thanks to the bombardment of Beauty Boxes that I ordered last month it’s taken me a little while to start getting around to trying and reviewing the items I got. The first I tried from the M&S box was the Nuxe Prodigeiux Shower Oil. It went straight into my shower and I’ve been enjoying it ever since.

I’ve had a few shower oils in the past from the likes of L’Occitaine and others and whilst I’ve always loved using them – I’ve never actually bit the bullet to buy one for myself. Nuxe is a premium brand and when I was searching for how much this actually was I was pleasently surprised to find that this was £10 for 200ml – way cheaper than predecessors from other brands that I’ve tried in the past. Yup there’s no denying that this does cost more than your average shower gel, but if like me you treat using shower oils as a treat – that 200ml bottle will last you a long time.

The Prodigeux Shower Oil was added to Nuxe’s line up early last year and is described as ‘Precious Scented’ something that seemed like a bad translation to me at first, but actually – I do see where they’re coming from. This is scented like an opulent rich perfume from the likes of Chanel or Dior – there’s something about this scent which just feels premium. And it looks premium too… with a glistening gold liquid – I can see where every drop the £10 price tag comes from and all of a sudden it feels like a luxury that’s more affordable than you’d think.

The thing I love about shower oils is how they emulsify on your skin, feeling richer and more nourishing than what you’d normally find yourself using. You don’t need a massive dollop of this either – a little goes a long way as it lightly suds up without becoming too foamy and fills your shower room with the rich scent too. Post shower this leaves the skin feeling softer in areas which are normally dry for me e.g elbows and the scent lingers faintly on the skin. The only way I can see you not liking this is you aren’t a fan of the heavier rich scented perfumes – something I don’t normally wear for myself, but as a pre bedtime treat that makes you feel a bit special I am on board 100%. This is another product which I have to resist myself reaching for everytime I go in the shower and I can see me ordering another when it runs out!

As I’m writing I’ve noticed it’s on sale on Escentual for £6.66 – if you want to give it a try, I’d recommend that you do now!

Have you tried a shower oil before? Are you a fan?! Let me know in the comments any favourites you think I should try!
