Kiehl’s Smoothing Oil Infused Shampoo Review

Kiehl's Smoothing Oil Infused Shampoo

I’m not 100% sure how the woman in the King’s Cross Kiehl’s store managed to convince be to buy the smallest bottle of shampoo in the world for £8.50 – I think she must have been a witch and cast a spell over me, only logical explanation. But after trying their Olive Fruit Oil Shampoo from the event I went to with them and really, really liking it, I thought that it must have been a good idea to try out their newest – the Kiehl’s Smoothing Oil Infused Shampoo (with a help from her witchy powers).

The Witch (okay will stop calling her that now) told me this was particularly good for dry and damaged hair, which mine feels very much that way at the moment. The Kiehl’s Smoothing Oil Infused Shampoo features Argan and Babassu Oils. Kiehl’s describe this as being great for taming frizz, smoothing down the hair cuticles and create flowing locks without stripping away any of the natural oils. Add to that it’s sulphate, silicone and paraben free in theory this makes a great option for those wanting to avoid.

This has a subtle but pleasent smell but unfortunately that’s where my love for this stops. I find this doesn’t foam up as well a quality I find with most sulphate free shampoos, but certainly wasn’t the case with their Olive Fruit Oil one. Sadly the disappointment didn’t stop their for me.

I’ve used this 3 times since I bought it and every time as soon as I’ve dried my hair it’s looked greasy straight away. This just appears like it either isn’t cleaning my hair properly or it’s leaving an oily residue behind that just makes my hair look dirty. Either way it looks like it needs washing which when you’ve spent £8.50 on a miniature is simply not good enough in anyway shape or form.

The first Kiehl’s product I’ve tried that gets a thumbs down from me – which you’ll probably know I’ve throughly been converted to Kiehl’s since attending their blogging event.

Aw too bad this didn’t work for you!
She’s a total witch to convince you to buy this AND it sucks.
I tried to go the sulphate-free route but I find they don’t clean my hair as well.
