Schwarzkopf Got 2 B Oil-Licious Styling Oil Review

Schwarzkopf Got 2 B Oil-Licious Styling Oil Review

Whilst the Got 2 B line is stocked just about everywhere – it’s a line I never really see any reviews on – or even featured in empties. Which is a shame because for the most part what I’ve tried from the line has quickly become a favourite (like their Hairspray which is HG status, a full review on that will come up soon!). I think the line is sadly overlooked, there’s not a massive selection of products like some other brands have, but hidden in the line there are some true gems – and the The Schwarzkopf Got 2 B Oil-Licious Styling Oil is no exception.

It was around Christmas time when I picked up this oil, I’d finished work and was heading over to a friends to get ready for a party and realised I’d got nothing to calm down my pre-curled hair which had got crazy in the office humidity, so I picked up The Schwarzkopf Got 2 B Oil-Licious Styling Oil up on my way through to his. Priced very reasonably at £4 something – and often on offer for half price means you can score an even better deal on this. Whilst this is a small little bottle it’s lasted me incredibly well, I have about a quarter left and I have used it pretty much every time I’ve washed my hair + using for styling curls on occasion too.

I’ve found that if I now forget to use this on my wet locks post shower through the mid-lengths down then I really notice a difference in my hair texture once it’s all dried off. My hair both feels drier and looks a little bit frizzier – this seems to do a good job of smoothing everything down and making it look as healthy as possible, which on dry bleached ends is a much needed aid. When I’ve curled my hair I can use this in a few different ways – by rubbing into the palms of my hands to get just a really light coverage on my hair I find I can scrunch the curls lightly to just add shine and make it all look properly glossy as well as running my fingers through my hair to relax the curls and make them more beachy, adding the same shine and making sure any frizz is kept tame.

This contains argan oil without being heavily argan oil based – something I personally much prefer, with somewhere between normal and thick hair I find oils with a high content of Argan nourishing, but also very weighty prone to pulling my hair down and making it look flat to my head. I think because it’s a mixed oil is why it seems to do a rare and great job of being multifunctional – I loved Morrocan Oil when it had it’s hyped up stage but only for wet hair, not for styling. I don’t think I’ve found an oil that does as good a job of tackling both hair care & styling.

One thing I have to mention is the scent – this smells incredible, just like the Label M Radiance Oil which I had a long time ago and left in a hotel room and have never got around to repurchasing. It’s a hard scent to describe and I can never pinpoint what exactly it smells of, but it has a sweet spice and fruity kind of vibe to it.

If you’re in the market for a new hair oil then I would thoroughly recommend this one. The Schwarzkopf Got 2 B Oil-Licious Styling Oil is cheap but does a fantastic job for both taking care of the hair when wet, and as a finishing product for styling too – something I’ve not always found when it comes to hair oils.

Have you tried the dry oil spray? It’s fab. I use it on the bleached out bits of my hair to make them soft and shiny again. And you can use it on wet or dry hair. Definitely recommend this

I always love the idea of oils for the hair but I also find they weigh down my hair! I think for me, it’s better to do a hair treatment with oils rather than a leave-in styling oil.

Yes I do like things with oils in – the L’oreal extraordinary oil conditioner is a wonder product for me! I do like oils – just about finding the right ones, only about 1 in 5 I actually hold on to!

It takes me forever to use up hair oils – I’m currently using one that’s nice and lightweight, but I wonder if it’s actually too light for my hair, which can take a bit more. I’ll have to check this one out, though – so cheap!

That looks great! I love oils for my hair! Do you know if it has any silicones and parabens in its ingredients list? Because I try to avoid them.

Have a wonderful start into the week, beautiful!

I love this one too, I have been using it for over a year now, and I regularly reach for it over my more expensive serums/oils 🙂
