I received Essie Just Stitched after an error by My Little Box a few months ago from them sending me a product I’d already received a few months before. They apologised with not one but two items – and this was one of those that I received.
I’ll admit the wedding themed name did make me chuckle and upon looking this polish up it was a part of Essie’s Cashmere Matte collection which launched early 2015 – and whilst limited edition (I think) – it’s still available online.
With one coat of this you could almost get away with using this to give your hands a french manicure look, I can see the white of my fingers naturally peeking through – but the finish it s a little too patchy and streaky with one coat for it to actually look like a proper manicure.
In late spring/early summer every year I tend to have a short lived love for pastel shades so this arrived at a perfect time. In the bottle this shade is very pretty a pale pastel pink with a silvery blue iridescence to it, it’s almost like a frost – but the shine in it isn’t as harsh.
On the nails the shine is as subtle as it looks in the bottle. The polish is fast drying and the finish changes to a silky matte finish. Even with a matte topcoat this polish unfortunately doesn’t have a very long wear time – it’s a polish for an occasion, but a short one at that. Even being careful with my hands chips start to appear after about 2 hours, the slightest knock in the wrong way chips them instantly.
It’s a shame, the colour and effect of Essie Just Stitched is quite pretty – I’m not a big lover usually of Matte polishes when they’re very flat looking, but that subtle silvery blue running through that stops it being boring to my eyes and it’s a shame it doesn’t last a little longer. That being said I have worn this 3 or 4 times since I’ve had it – so it’s clearly not bad enough to put me off.
Are you a matte polish lover or hater? Tried any from the Essie Cashmere Matte range? Let me know what you think of Essie Just Stitched too!

It’s a really pretty polish. The colour looks lovely as a matte. I sadly have the same issue with Essie. My nails chip after hours with their polishes x
I normally find Essie pretty good! Just this matte one isn’t great for me shame as it is pretty!
I have this along with a few other of the Cashmere Mattes. I was sooooo excited about them but the wear time is simply the WORST. Not sure if you remember my review where I showed the polish just flicking off in one sheet:

After wearing the one shade, I haven’t attempted to wear any of the others – such a shame! For the record, I’m a big fan of Essie polishes overall but just not this formula.
I think I remember now I’ve seen Comfy in Cashmere because that shade is a beaut, shame they’re all as bad as one another! I’m the same, big fan of essie in general but this formula should have never passed QA!
I bought a matte polish from Essie last year. It may have even been this one. I hated it so much that I took it off right after I applied it and threw it in the trash. Worst 8 dollars ever spent!! With that said, Essie is my favorite nailpolish brand. I just know not to do for the cashmere mattes.
I have the matte top coat. I have only liked the look on navy blue polish. And then I didn’t paint the top nail so it was like a french manicure only matte navy on the nail bed and shiny navy on the tips.
Yeah not normally a fan of mattes either, there was something about this one though! That sounds awesome, will have to try it sometime!
This is a really pretty shade!
I LOVE this colour/finish so much! Everything about it screams me haha 🙂 Essie polishes are probably one of my favourite polish brands, I haven’t seen this one yet though
