Essentials Stock Up & Essence Haul

Having had such a successful low buy last month, and a real effort to use up all the lingering bottles of shampoo, hairspray etc that I wanted gone for good – I was left at the start of this month with a desperate need to go and restock on a few things, you should see my empties bag – as I’m writing this it’s my next job to work out how to talk about two months of empties! Naturally, it’s bloody hard to go in Boots or Superdrug without picking up at least one thing you don’t need as well – but still shopped savvily, spending my points where possible in Superdrug on my non essential purchases!

Essence Hair Growth Shampoo & Treatment (3 for £15 Boots)

lee-stafford-hair-growth-range

I reviewed the full range of the Lee Stafford Hair Growth Products recently – I’m on my last pot of the treatment and I’d been making my way through all my shampoos before I repurchased another of my already empty shampoo. I know some are dubious but I am conviced that this is working – when I went to have my hair done for my friends wedding two weeks my hairdresser/Ben’s sister said “You have so much hair now, where is it all coming from”. Hopes are still high for looking like rapunzel for my wedding! I have quite a few conditioners on the go that I’m trying to finish and I found that I used that up pretty quickly in comparison so I picked up two shampoos and a treatment within the offer.

Fudge Dry Shampoo (£5.99 Superdrug) Schwarzkopf Got 2 B Rise N Shine (Offer – £1.56 Boots)

I’m starting to run low of my favourite Dry Shampoo from Aussie, a few months ago I’m sure someone recommended to me this one from Fudge – I’ll have to go back through my blog comments and see if I can see who it was when I come to review it, and I decided to give it a go. Described as smelling like pear and vanilla I thought this sounded interesting and something different.

I’ve been wanting to repurchase this hairspray for ages but I’ve been forcing myself to use up the last one from my stash – which feels like it only has one or two uses left in. I’m really suprised I never got a round to reviewing this, but I’ll make it a priority this time. Holds curls all day without feeling crusty at all and it doesn’t have that horrible hairspray smell or texture that sticks in the back of my throat either. A bargain in Boots currently!

Sinful Colors Sinful Shine King Kylie Collection (£3 Each Superdrug)sinful-color-king-kylie-collection-haulIt wasn’t that long ago that Sinful Colors disappeared from Boots and the Kylie Jenner collaboration has emerged (only this collection however) in my local Superdrug. I’d heard a few good things about this collection so decided to give it a whirl, I picked up the sinful shine topcoat, and two shades Koko-Nuts, a white with pearl gold shimmer and Kommando, a nude with silver shimmer – you can just about notice them in the picture above. Will report back on these for sure! I used my Superdrug points towards these and therefore only spent £3. Bargain!

Essence Long Wear Lipliners (£1.50 Each Wilkos)

My local Wilkos has doubled the size of their Essence stand since I last went in and finally had some of their lip liners in stock (seriously I’ve been checking for months!) I bought 4 but one appears to have fell out of a hole in the bottom of the bag she gave me that was from the cheaper range (£1 – not £1.50!). Left to right on the swatches below are Plumcake (one I’ve seen miss Budget beauty wear by itself numerous times and the reason I wanted to get my hands on some!), A girls Dream, and Berry On My Mind. I’m not a big lip liner wearer by themselves, but I can see me wearing these without any lipstick accompanying them. All applied very easily and creamily, but boy do they lock into place – I struggled to get these off my hand properly! I already want all of them from the collection – next time I’m in superdrug I’m getting more.essence-lip-liner-swatches

Let me know if you’ve tried anything here before and what your thoughts on them are! I’m itching to try everything out!

I always buy nail polish when buying beauty products, I don’t know why but I always think I need more haha! I have never tried Sinful colours but the colours you picked out look amazing 🙂

Great post! What type of hair do you have (eg thin/thick) and did you find the Lee Stafford hair products made your hair really soft? I have fine hair and it’s a pain trying to find something that doesn’t make it flat as a pancake lol xx

My hair sounds like it might be the opposite, mine is thick. Despite the fact it’s hair growth I do find it makes my hair really shiny – Some shampoos weigh my hair down but this one doesn’t – I’d say it’s worth a go if you’re looking for growth xx

Ah ok thanks. I’ve been using the brand Fast which is awesome! Canadian brand, thickens and stimulates growth. Just on the pricey side x

Oh no. I have the green Kryptonite and it lasted three or four days. Miracle for me. It might just be that shade😧😢 I’ll let you know if it’s the same for me x

It’ll be a shame if that peels. I bought loads more shades as Kryptonite lasted so well. Hope the others do x

I like the sound of that hair growth shampoo and conditioner – I’m doing everything I can to get my hair to grow, including taking some Juice Plus supplements.
I keep meaning to pick up some Essence lip liners, they look so pigmented and creamy!! x

    • I’m on my third pot of the treatment now – I think that’s definitely the key product in the line for the growth, but the shampoo also makes my hair really shiny and clean feeling!
Essence lip liners are lovely – once they lock into place they don’t budge!

While I’m not a fan of Kylie, I really like the nail collection with Sinful Colors! They’ve been popping up here too – usually we don’t get much of a selection with that brand. I’ll probably end up picking some up!
And that’s so awesome the Lee Stafford Hair Growth products are working for you!

    • The first one I tried – koko nuts, was terrible painted in the morning, totally peeling off in the afternoon! haven’t gotten around to trying out the other yet! Yes really glad it’s working, was sceptical but everyone seems to be commenting how long my hair is if I haven’t seen them in the past 3/4 months, and I had a hefty trim during that time too!

Oh no! Sucks about the nail polish formula!
